Exploiting Two‐Photon Lithography, Deposition, and Processing to Realize Complex 3D Magnetic Nanostructures

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Two‐photon lithography (TPL) enables 3D magnetic nanostructures with unmatched freedom in geometry and material choice. Advances in voxel control, deposition, and functionalization open pathways to artificial spin ices, racetracks, microrobots, and a number of additional technological applications.

From microscopic to macroscopic dynamics in mean-field theory: effect of neutron skin on fusion barrier and dissipation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2001
In this work, we introduce a new method to reduce the microscopic mean-field theory to a classical macroscopic dynamics during the initial stage of fusion reactions.

The Dynamics of Interfacial Trap States in High‐Detectivity Near‐Infrared Photomultiplication Organic Photodetectors

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Photomultiplication organic photodetectors (PM OPDs) are an attractive strategy for health‐monitoring. Here, PM‐OPDs are reported with a specific detectivity of 5.7 × 1012 Jones and external quantum efficiency values of 3500% under −10 V. The dynamics of carrier trapping in these devices are elucidated through trap selective spectroscopical techniques.

Time-of-day dependent promotion of keratinocyte differentiation by Cinnamomum cassia bark extract through the p38 MAPK Pathway.

open access: yesPLoS ONE
The skin serves as an essential barrier against pathogens and external insults, preventing moisture loss. Chronic skin conditions such as atopic dermatitis stem from impairments in skin barrier function.

Revealing the Potential Use of Macro and Microalgae Compounds in Skin Barrier Repair

open access: yesApplied Sciences
The skin barrier is essential for maintaining the body’s internal homeostasis and protecting against harmful external substances; its impairment may cause different dermatological diseases.

The Infant Skin Barrier: Can We Preserve, Protect, and Enhance the Barrier?

open access: yesDermatology Research and Practice, 2012
Infant skin is different from adult in structure, function, and composition. Despite these differences, the skin barrier is competent at birth in healthy, full-term neonates.

Assessing the sensitivity of two TEWL measuring methods: open vs. closed chamber [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Transepidermal water loss (TEWL) is a key parameter in the assessment of skin barrier impairment and recovery. The aim of this study was to perform a comparative assessment of the two types of TEWL instruments, with specific emphasis on their sensitivity

Solvent‐Free Bonding Mechanisms and Microstructure Engineering in Dry Electrode Technology for Lithium‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Dry electrode technology revolutionizes battery manufacturing by eliminating toxic solvents and energy‐intensive drying. This work details two promising techniques: dry spray deposition and polymer fibrillation. How their unique solvent‐free bonding mechanisms create uniform microstructures for thicker, denser electrodes, boosting energy density and ...

Mutation analysis of the LCE3B/LCE3C genes in Psoriasis [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Background: An association between a common deletion comprising the late cornified envelope LCE3B and LCE3C genes (LCE3C_LCE3B-del) and Psoriasis (Ps) has been reported. The expression of these LCE genes was induced after skin barrier disruption and was
