Synergistic Microstructure and Dielectric Engineering of Recyclable Single‐Electrode Triboelectric Nanogenerators for Sustainable Smart Homes

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, EarlyView.
A recyclable triboelectric nanogenerator integrating a pseudo‐honeycomb microstructure with liquid metal doping achieves 120% higher output (122 mW m−2) and >90% retention over seven cycles, enabling self‐powered smart home functions. The performance of single‐electrode triboelectric nanogenerators (SE‐TENGs) is governed by the effective contact area ...

Estimating skin permeation. The validation of five mathematical skin permeation models

Chemosphere, 1995
This study provides an analysis of the reliability of five mathematical models, simulating permeation of substances through the skin from aqueous solutions. An extensive database was generated, containing data on 123 measured permeation coefficients of 99 different chemicals and their physicochemical properties.

Skin permeation: The years of enlightenment

International Journal of Pharmaceutics, 2005
Considerable advances in our understanding of the mechanisms by which drugs permeate the skin barrier have been made over the past 60 years. The key publications, which have influenced the field of skin permeation research are highlighted in the present review. The methodologies commonly employed for estimation of skin permeability are discussed as are

Effects of Adhesives and Permeation Enhancers on the Skin Permeation of Captopril

Drug Development and Industrial Pharmacy, 2001
To formulate a transdermal drug delivery system of captopril, monolithic adhesive matrix type patches containing 20% captopril, different pressure-sensitive adhesives, and various permeation enhancers were prepared using a labcoater. The effects of the adhesives and permeation enhancers on skin permeation of captopril from the prepared patches were ...
