Background: Type 1 clinoidal meningiomas (ClinMens) grow from the inferior part of the clinoid process and are closely associated with the internal carotid artery (ICA) and optic apparatus. Surgical challenges stem from the intimal relation with the vascular adventitia and perineurium.
