Investigation of the reasons and management of repair failure of high-flow cerebrospinal fluid rhinorrhea after endoscopic removal of skull base tumors

open access: yesChinese Journal of Contemporary Neurology and Neurosurgery, 2019
Objective To investigate the reasons and management of repair failure of high-flow cerebrospinal fluid rhinorrhea (HFCSFR) after endoscopic resection of skull base tumors. Methods We retrospectively reviewed 5 patients with repair failure of HFCSFR after

Temporalis Fascia and Free Post‐Aural Soft Tissue Graft in Sub‐Centimeter Skull Base Defect Repair [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Rhinology
Skull base defects often manifest as meningocele/meningoencephalocele or cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) leaks. Ventral and lateral skull base defects are effectively treated endoscopically and microscopically using various approaches.

Treatment of Cerebrospinal Fluid leakage in Skull Base Surgery [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
Objective : In various skull base approaches, the risk of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) leakage exists and the leakage may lead to a life-threatening condition such as meningoencephalitis.

Fzd7 Restrains Pink1‐Dependent Mitophagy in Suture Stem Cells to Maintain Cranial Suture Patency

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
How suture stem cells fail to preserve cranial suture patency remains incompletely understood. Integrated single‐cell and high‐resolution spatial transcriptomic analyses identify reduced Fzd7 expression in Prrx1+ suture stem cells as an early feature of craniosynostosis.

Early Spatial and Contextual Coding Deficits in Hippocampal CA1 Precede Performance Decline in an Alzheimer's Disease Model

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Two‐photon calcium imaging in behaving 5xFAD mice reveals early CA1 coding deficits before behavioral decline. Task‐related place cell activity and splitter cell trajectory coding are impaired, with reduced retrospective dominance and greater prospective weighting.

Vascularized flap versus free graft in anterior skull base reconstruction in cases of unilateral CSF rhinorrhea [PDF]

open access: yesAl-Azhar International Medical Journal
Background: Cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) rhinorrhea is an abnormal communication between the subarachnoid space and the nasal cavity. Its causes can be traumatic or non-traumatic.

Nrsn1–Smarcc1 Coupling Regulates Neural Stem Cell Differentiation and Chronic‐phase Recovery After Ischemic Stroke

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In the post‐stroke brain, Foxa2 induces the transcriptional upregulation of Nrsn1 in NSCs. Nrsn1 functionally couples with Smarcc1, modulating its nuclear availability and protein abundance, thereby influencing Smarcc1‐associated regulatory programs linked to neuronal lineage commitment. Through this coupling, Nrsn1 promotes the differentiation of NSCs

Advance on endoscopic skull base surgery

open access: yesChinese Journal of Contemporary Neurology and Neurosurgery, 2019
Endoscopic skull base surgery started from 1990s, and has undergone fast development in the past 20 years. It has involved various skull base regions from the anterior skull base to the craniovertebral junction (CVJ) and jugular foramen, including intra-

Dual‐Target Nectin‐4/FAP Heterobivalent Probe 68Ga/177Lu‐FZ‐NF‐1 for Triple‐Negative Breast Cancer: Preclinical Theranostic Evaluation and First‐in‐Human Translation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A novel hetero‐bivalent agent, 68Ga/177Lu‐FZ‐NF‐1, concurrently targets Nectin‐4 and FAP in triple‐negative breast cancer. It yields significant preclinical tumor regression and clinically identifies additional metastatic lesions missed by 18F‐FDG PET, demonstrating promising theranostic potential for personalized management.
