SLA management in federated environments [PDF]

open access: yesComputer Networks, 2001
Abstract Increasingly, Internet services are being deployed over an infrastructure that spans multiple control domains. These services require cooperation between multiple organizations, systems and entities. Currently, few standard mechanisms exist to share selective management information between the various service providers or between service ...

Patterned Screen‐Printing Process for Substrate‐Free and Scalable Hyaluronic Acid Microneedle Arrays

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
A substrate‐free microneedle array comprising a hybrid hyaluronic acid ink was fabricated via a scalable screen‐printing process for flexible transdermal drug delivery. Defect‐free mold filling was achieved using a vacuum‐assisted jig and a delayed drying system, and the use of this versatile platform for multi‐drug patterning and ex vivo skin ...

The French national protocol for Kennedy’s disease (SBMA): consensus diagnostic and management recommendations

open access: yesOrphanet Journal of Rare Diseases, 2020
Background Kennedy’s disease (KD), also known as spinal and bulbar muscular atrophy (SBMA), is a rare, adult-onset, X-linked recessive neuromuscular disease caused by CAG expansions in exon 1 of the androgen receptor gene (AR).

High Throughput Aerosol Jet Printing to Operationalize High Aspect Ratio Patterning

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
High‐throughput aerosol jet printing poses distinct limiting mechanisms to the printing process. These include rapidly changing ink chemistries, atomization instabilities, and liquid‐phase spreading. The combination of in‐line heating, process monitoring, and traditional optimization procedures enables rapid printing of high‐aspect‐ratio structures ...

Programmable Anisotropic Terahertz Permittivity via High‐Aspect‐Ratio 3D‐Printed Dielectric Mesh Networks

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
A 3D‐printed Terahertz (THz) anisotropic dielectric with programmable permittivity by varying infill density and creating high‐aspect‐ratio channels is presented. The proposed design was evaluated both experimentally, through THz time‐domain spectroscopy, and theoretically, through FDTD simulations and Effective Medium Theory analysis.

Swine leukocyte antigen (SLA) class II is a xenoantigen

open access: yesTransplantation, 2017
Background Over 130 000 patients in the United States alone need a lifesaving organ transplant. Genetically modified porcine organs could resolve the donor organ shortage, but human xenoreactive antibodies destroy pig cells and are the major barrier to ...

Sequencing in SLA [PDF]

open access: yesStudies in Second Language Acquisition, 1996
This paper provides an overview of sequencing in SLA. It contends that much of language acquisition is in fact sequence learning (for vocabulary, the phonological units of language and their phonotactic sequences: for discourse, the lexical units of language and their sequences in clauses and collocations).
