This study reveals how the mitochondrial protein Slm35 is regulated in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The authors identify stress‐responsive DNA elements and two upstream open reading frames (uORFs) in the 5′ untranslated region of SLM35. One uORF restricts translation, and its mutation increases Slm35 protein levels and mitophagy.

The ubiquitin ligase RNF115 is required for the clearance of damaged lysosomes
Upon lysosomal rupture, an E3 ubiquitin ligase RNF115 translocates from the cytosol to the damaged lysosomal membrane. Moreover, RNF115 depletion impairs the clearance of damaged lysosomes, identifying it as a key regulator of lysosomal quality control.

A Comparative Experimental Study of Robust Sliding Mode Control Strategies for Underactuated Systems
This paper presents a comprehensive comparative study for the tracking control of a class of underactuated nonlinear uncertain systems. A given nonlinear model of the underactuated system is, at first stage, transformed into an input output form and the ...

Sliding Mode Control: an output based approach [PDF]
Nella formulazione di un problema di controllo si verifica regolarmente una certa differenza tra il processo reale e il modello matematico ad esso associato per lo sviluppo del sistema di controllo. A prescindere da queste differenze che intercorrono tra

This study reveals that the small GTPase Rab14 is necessary for human papillomavirus (HPV) infection and plays an essential role in the transport of virions to the trans‐Golgi network (TGN). HPV in the early endosome (EE), which harbors GTP‐bound Rab14, is transported to the TGN through the switch of Rab14 from its GTP‐bound to GDP‐bound form.

TORQUE RIPPLE RATE REDUCTION OF 6/4 SWITCHED RELUCTANCE MOTOR USING SLIDING MODE LEARNING CONTROLS
This paper presents a sliding mode control for reducing the torque ripple of a 6/4 switched reluctance motor. Several types of sliding mode control based on the current variable are implemented: conventional sliding mode control, learning sliding mode ...
