The Memory Inflation Response Against Spread-Defective CMV Requires Priming-Independent CD4+ T Cell Help. [PDF]
Inducing memory inflation (MI) is a promising future vaccination strategy. We show that spread‐defective cytomegalovirus does not induce MI in the absence of CD4+ T cells. Support from CD4+ T cells can drive effector differentiation of MI cells, even late in the response, and contributes to long‐term response maintenance. ABSTRACT Memory inflation (MI)

Improved opioid prescribing in primary care: protocol for a cluster randomised pragmatic trial [PDF]
Introduction Opioid analgesic medications play a critical role in pain management but are associated with significant risks, including addiction. General practitioners in primary care account for a substantial proportion of opioid prescriptions, and ...

Dynamic functional modulation of CD4+ T cell recall responses is dependent on the inflammatory environment of the secondary stimulus. [PDF]
The parameters that modulate the functional capacity of secondary Th1 effector cells are poorly understood. In this study, we employ a serial adoptive transfer model system to show that the functional differentiation and secondary memory potential of ...

Autoimmune hepatitis (AIH) is marked by autoantibodies and hepatic infiltration of B cells and plasma cells, possibly indicating a pathogenic role of B cells in the disease. Using a spontaneous mouse model of AIH, we show that B cell depletion did not prevent disease manifestation.

HVEM‐ligand interaction has been proposed to have differential effects on T‐cell response. Here, we investigate the role of HVEM upon acute and chronic lymphocytic choriomeningitis virus (LCMV) infection. We found that HVEM expression is potently downregulated during the effector phase in virus‐specific T cells and remained dampened even after in the ...
