Native forest metacommunity structures in Uruguay shaped by novel land-use types in their surroundings. [PDF]
Uruguayan native forests display a high range of dissimilarity. Pressure of neighborhood land uses was the predominant factor for species assemblages. Conserving landscape structures that assure connectivity within and among native forest patches is crucial.

Pest categorisation of non‐EU Cicadomorpha vectors of Xylella spp.
Abstract The Panel on Plant Health performed a group pest categorisation of non‐EU Cicadomorpha vectors of Xylella spp. known to be associated with plant diseases. Although all the insects considered in this categorisation are proven vectors of Xylella spp., additional vectors within the order Hemiptera most probably exist but have not been associated ...

Local Knowledge and Conservation Priorities of Medicinal Plants near a Protected Area in Brazil
We investigated the influence of socioeconomic factors (age, gender, and occupation) on the local knowledge of medicinal plants in the Araripe National Forest, Brazil, and the priority of conservation of the species as perceived by people. Additionally, priority species for in situ conservation were identified by calculating conservation priority (CP).
