Quantifying Smooth Muscles Regional Organization in the Rat Bladder Using Immunohistochemistry, Multiphoton Microscopy and Machine Learning [PDF]
The smooth muscle bundles (SMBs) in the bladder act as contractile elements which enable the bladder to void effectively. In contrast to skeletal muscles, these bundles are not highly aligned, rather they are oriented more heterogeneously throughout the bladder wall.

Scaling functional patterns of skeletal and cardiac muscles: New non-linear elasticity approach [PDF]
Responding mechanically to environmental requests, muscles show a surprisingly large variety of functions. The studies of in vivo cycling muscles qualified skeletal muscles into four principal locomotor patterns: motor, brake, strut, and spring.

High‐Speed and Scalable Wet Spinning of Graphene/Liquid Crystalline Elastomer Composite Filaments
Polydomain filaments from graphene/liquid crystalline elastomer (LCE) composites are scalably‐manufactured by wet spinning across a wide range of diameters (≈137–1128 µm) at a speed up to 4500 m h−1 through a double diffusion coagulation mechanism, enabling fast actuation and optimized mechanical performance for broad applications.

Oct4‐nanoscript, a biomimetic nanoparticle‐based artificial transcription factor, precisely regulates cellular rejuvenation by activating Oct4 target genes, restoring epigenetic marks, and reducing DNA damage. In a progeria model, it effectively rescued aging‐associated pathologies and extended lifespan.

Biofabrication aims at providing innovative technologies and tools for the fabrication of tissue‐like constructs for tissue engineering and regenerative medicine applications. By integrating multiple biofabrication technologies, such as 3D (bio) printing with fiber fabrication methods, it would be more realistic to reconstruct native tissue's ...

Magnetically Guided Mechanoactive Mineralization Scaffolds for Enhanced Bone Regeneration
A 3D‐printed ‘rebar‐concrete’ inspired scaffold (PGS‐P@MGel) synergizes spontaneous biomineralization with magneto‐mechanical stimulation through PDA@Fe3O4‐embedded hydrogel. This dual biointerface activates Piezo1/β‐catenin/YAP mechanotransduction axis, enhancing BMSCs osteogenesis and angiogenesis simultaneously.

In this article, Hojin Kim, Sayan Deb Dutta, and co‐workers report a shape‐reconfigurable, 3D printable, and highly adhesive slime‐like ‘electronic skin’ or ‘E‐skin’ patch for human health sensing and tissue engineering applications. The dual reinforcement of hydrogel patch with carbon nanotubes (CNTs) and cellulose nanocrystals (CNCs) improve the ...

This study presents a novel method using laser‐induced graphene (LIG) to enable high‐yield transfer of silver nanowire (AgNW) networks onto ultra‐low modulus, breathable silicone substrates. This approach creates ultra‐conformal epidermal electrodes (≈50 µm) for long‐term, high‐fidelity electrophysiological monitoring, even in challenging conditions ...
