Ringing Noise Reduction Method for High‐Speed GaN Switching Converter

open access: yesphysica status solidi (a), Volume 222, Issue 23, December 2025.
The noise reduction circuit for decreasing the ringing voltage peaks in the switching converter with GaN‐based high electron mobility transistors is proposed. First, the location of the stray inductance generating the ringing noise is investigated using radiated emission measurements, and the additional capacitor is inserted into the circuit in ...

Analysis of the influence of RC buffer on DC solid-state circuit breaker

open access: yesEnergy Reports, 2020
The DC solid state circuit breaker (SSCB) is the key equipment to construct the DC distribution network. In this paper, an improved topological scheme of RC buffer and metal oxide arrester (MOA) in parallel is proposed, which can not only improve the ...

Robust Ferroelectricity in Micrometer–Thick Ce:HfO2 Films

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, Volume 11, Issue 19, November 18, 2025.
This manuscript presents a 3–µm–thick Ce:HfO2 ferroelectric film with distinctive {111} –preferred, single–crystal–like columnar grains with embedded nanopores. Raman characterizations reveal that the film contains an orthorhombic phase fraction of ≈21% (25 °C) and exhibits a Tc of ≈400 °C.

Will the Establishment of a National Park Protect More Suitable Habitats for the Qinling Golden Snub‐Nosed Monkey?

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 15, Issue 11, November 2025.
The protection gap of high‐suitability habitat patches in national parks has decreased by 36.94%, compared with nature reserves. The loss of high‐suitability habitat patches in natural development scenario, with decreased 181 km2 in national park scenario by 2030. ABSTRACT The Qinling Mountains, recognized as a biodiversity hotspot, are included in the

High-Efficiency NPC Multilevel Converter Using Super-Junction MOSFETs [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Super-junction MOSFETs exhibit low on-state resistances and low switching losses. However, the reverse recovery behavior of their intrinsic diodes and their output capacitance characteristics make their deployment in freewheeling locations challenging ...

Neandertal Cold Adaptation: Technological, Anatomical, and Physiological Responses to Cold Stress in One of Our Closest Fossil Relatives

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Human Biology, Volume 37, Issue 10, October 2025.
ABSTRACT Neandertals occupied western Eurasia for over 100 000 years, repeatedly enduring climates that ranged from seasonally cold to glacial. This paper reexamines the question of Neandertal cold adaptation using updated fossil, physiological, and archaeological evidence.
