The novel styrylquinazolinone‐based molecule W1B effectively suppresses glioblastoma by inhibiting IGF1R and EGFR. In high‐glucose microenvironments driving tumor resistance, W1B acts synergistically with the EGFR inhibitor dacomitinib. This combination safely blocks compensatory survival signaling in zebrafish xenograft models. Showcasing promising in

Oncogenic DMTF1β promotes cancer cell motility by regulating autophagy through ULK1 stabilization
In the current study, we demonstrate that the oncogene DMTF1β regulates ULK1 stability by reducing its proteasomal degradation in cancer cells. This stabilization enables ULK1 to induce autophagy, which in turn facilitates cancer cell migration. Consequently, reduced DMTF1β levels lead to decreased autophagy and impaired cancer cell migration.

Tumor B‐cell infiltration in platinum‐treated advanced muscle‐invasive urothelial carcinoma
Bladder tumors with higher pretreatment memory B‐cell infiltration were linked to longer survival after cisplatin chemotherapy, but not carboplatin. These tumors also showed more organized immune structures (tertiary lymphoid structures) and a shared pro‐inflammatory B‐cell‐rich community, suggesting that memory B cells may help identify patients most ...

Social presence in telemedicine
Journal of Telemedicine and Telecare, 2002We studied consultations between a doctor, emergency nurse practitioners (ENPs) and their patients in a minor accident and treatment service (MATS). In the conventional consultations, all three people were located at the main hospital. In the teleconsultations, the doctor was located in a hospital 6 km away from the MATS and used a videoconferencing ...

From Online Social Presence to Network Social Presence
2014Open Network Learning Environment (ONLE) empowers network learners to create, edit, and share their knowledge via social network connection. This chapter examines the predictive relationship between social presence and ONLE interaction and scrutinizes the relationships between social presence and four dimensions of ONLE's interaction.

Social presence with virtual glass
2015 IEEE Virtual Reality (VR), 2015Collaborative Virtual Environments (CVE) with co-located or remote video communication functionality require a continuous experience of social presence. If, at any stage during the experience the communication interrupts presence, then the CVE experience as a whole is affected — spatial presence is then decoupled from social presence.

Social Presence in Digital Community
2018 International Symposium on Agent, Multi-Agent Systems and Robotics (ISAMSR), 2018Digital community is the current trend in knowledge economy, where knowledge is shared and sought after by people in community over the Internet and the cloud, yet it is not limited to only teaching and learning institutions. The need for social presence is becoming more important for a person with knowledge, hence the idea of embedding software agents
