Social Impact Assessment – The State of Art

open access: yesTransylvanian Review of Administrative Sciences, 2006
The present research is coming to deal with a constant need within the present-day Romanian institutional framework: building a model for Social Impact Assessment of programs and projects mainly for the public field. Social impact assessment (SIA) refers

Circular RNA expression landscapes in myelodysplastic neoplasms: Associations with mutational signatures and disease progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In this explorative study, the abundance of circular RNA molecules in bone marrow stem cells was found to be elevated in patients with high‐risk myelodysplastic neoplasms, and to be associated with an increased risk of progression to acute myeloid leukemia.

Dimethyl fumarate combined with cisplatin at subcytotoxic doses sensitizes cervical cancer toward ferroptosis and apoptosis through GSH restriction and p53 (re)activation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) reduces growth of HPV‐positive cervical cancer spheroids and induces ferroptosis in cervical cancer cells via blocking SLC7A11/Glutathione (GSH) axis. Combination of subcytotoxic doses of DMF and cisplatin (CDDP) further suppresses spheroid growth and drives cell death in 2D culture models.

Social vulnerability and media analysis of hydrological disasters in the province of Entre Ríos, Argentina (2000-2020)

open access: yesRevista de Estudios Latinoamericanos sobre Reducción del Riesgo de Desastres
Social vulnerability allows establishing structural conditions of populations in territories at risk of disaster. The understanding of these situations is complemented through the quantification of extreme hydrological events reported by the media, when ...

Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.
