Lack of Tumorigenicity of Sodium Benzoate in Mice
Toxicological Sciences, 1984Sodium benzoate was administered as a 2% solution in drinking water for life to randomly bred Swiss mice. Consumption of the chemical caused no detectable tumorigenic effect under the current experimental conditions.

Lab. & Clin. Med. 29 :188 [Feb.] 1944) reported that, after a patient recovering from a serious attack of hepatitis had taken the usual dose of 6 Gm.
