Molecularly imprinted 2D photonic crystal hydrogel sensor for sodium dichloroisocyanurate
Analytical MethodsMolecularly imprinted two-dimensional photonic crystal hydrogel sensor was prepared. The sensor can specifically recognize SDIC and directly generate readable optical signals to report recognition events without any processing of the analyte.

Bactericidal and Fungicidal Activity in the Gas Phase of Sodium Dichloroisocyanurate (NaDCC)
Current Microbiology, 2016Sodium dichloroisocyanurate (NaDCC) is usually employed as a disinfectant for the treatment of water, environmental surfaces and medical equipment principally for its effectiveness as a microbicide agent. In this study, we explore the possibility of a new use for NaDCC by investigating the microbicidal activity of chlorine, which derives from the ...

Clostridium difficile is a major cause of hospital-associated infective diarrhea, and its spore form can persist for months in the hospital environment. Chlorine-based cleaning agents are recommended for eliminating this reservoir of potential infection. To investigate the individual contributions of active chlorine, detergent and mechanical action on ...

Sodium dichloroisocyanurate oxidation of a sterically hindered tetrahydro-9(10H)-acridinone
The Journal of Organic Chemistry, 1990Treatment of 1,2,3,4-tetrahydro-9-(10H)-acridinone (1a) with sodium dichloroisocyanurate (2) yields cis-1,2-diol 3a or azepino[1,2-a]indole 4a. Here we present further developments which lead us to propose that a more plausible pathway to 4a form 3a involves a N-chloro 1,2-diol intermediate which undergoes ring contraction to the ...

The activity of sodium dichloroisocyanurate (NaDCC), peroxygen and glutaraldehyde disinfectants against spores of Bacillus subtilis NCTC 10073 was evaluated using suspension tests. The activity of aqueous solutions of NaDCC disinfectants increased with the level of available chlorine (av.Cl) but was considerably reduced by low levels of blood.

[Sodium dichloroisocyanurate-induced acute lung injury in a child].
Archives de pediatrie : organe officiel de la Societe francaise de pediatrie, 2013Intoxication, by cyanurate and its chlorated derivatives in children, is increasingly reported in the literature due to accidental ingestion compared to accidental inhalation. We report a case in a 5-year-old child who presented with acute lung injury due to accidental inhalation of gas formed after a reaction of sodium dichloroisocyanurate tablets ...

[Comparison on resistance of bacteriophages to sodium dichloroisocyanurate in laboratory].
Zhonghua yu fang yi xue za zhi [Chinese journal of preventive medicine], 2009To scan the most resistable bacteriophage as an indicator in disinfection tests, and to study the resistance of bacteriophage T4, Phichi 174D, and f2 to the sodium dichloroisocyanurate (NaDCC) in laboratory. The virucidal activity of NaDCC against bacteriophage T4, Phichi 174D, and f2 were assessed by suspension test. The neutralizer was selected and be

Investigation of the behavior of sodium dichloroisocyanurate in aqueous solutions
Izvestiya. Non-Ferrous MetallurgyGlobal gold consumption has steadily increased in recent decades, driven by expanding industrial applications and reserve accumulation by many countries. In parallel, depletion of high-grade deposits has shifted processing toward low-grade and refractory ores.

A chemiluminescent (CL) method for the determination of isoniazid is described. The method is based on the CL generated during the oxidation of luminol by sodium dichloroisocyanurate (SDCC) and trichloroisocyanuric acid (TCCA) in alkaline medium. It was found that isoniazid greatly enhances this CL intensity when present in the luminol solution.
