Comparison of sodium hypochlorite and sodium dichloroisocyanurate disinfectants: neutralization by serum

Journal of Hospital Infection, 1988
A comparison has been made of the activity against Pseudomonas aeruginosa of sodium hypochlorite (NaOCl) and sodium dichloroisocyanurate (NaDCC) solutions containing 0-40% and 0-70% horse serum respectively. The degree of inactivation of NaOCl and of NaDCC solutions by different concentrations of horse serum is expressed in terms of a neutralization ...

Investigation of the behavior of sodium dichloroisocyanurate in aqueous solutions

Izvestiya. Non-Ferrous Metallurgy
Global gold consumption has steadily increased in recent decades, driven by expanding industrial applications and reserve accumulation by many countries. In parallel, depletion of high-grade deposits has shifted processing toward low-grade and refractory ores.

[Comparison on resistance of bacteriophages to sodium dichloroisocyanurate in laboratory].

Zhonghua yu fang yi xue za zhi [Chinese journal of preventive medicine], 2009
To scan the most resistable bacteriophage as an indicator in disinfection tests, and to study the resistance of bacteriophage T4, Phichi 174D, and f2 to the sodium dichloroisocyanurate (NaDCC) in laboratory. The virucidal activity of NaDCC against bacteriophage T4, Phichi 174D, and f2 were assessed by suspension test. The neutralizer was selected and be

Molecularly imprinted 2D photonic crystal hydrogel sensor for sodium dichloroisocyanurate

Analytical Methods
Molecularly imprinted two-dimensional photonic crystal hydrogel sensor was prepared. The sensor can specifically recognize SDIC and directly generate readable optical signals to report recognition events without any processing of the analyte.

[Sodium dichloroisocyanurate-induced acute lung injury in a child].

Archives de pediatrie : organe officiel de la Societe francaise de pediatrie, 2013
Intoxication, by cyanurate and its chlorated derivatives in children, is increasingly reported in the literature due to accidental ingestion compared to accidental inhalation. We report a case in a 5-year-old child who presented with acute lung injury due to accidental inhalation of gas formed after a reaction of sodium dichloroisocyanurate tablets ...

Sporicidal activity of sodium dichloroisocyanurate, peroxygen and glutaraldehyde disinfectants against Bacillus subtilis

Journal of Hospital Infection, 1996
The activity of sodium dichloroisocyanurate (NaDCC), peroxygen and glutaraldehyde disinfectants against spores of Bacillus subtilis NCTC 10073 was evaluated using suspension tests. The activity of aqueous solutions of NaDCC disinfectants increased with the level of available chlorine (av.Cl) but was considerably reduced by low levels of blood.

The effect of potassium permanganate and sodium dichloroisocyanurate on metacercariae of Fasciola gigantica.

Journal of the Egyptian Society of Parasitology, 2004
Batches of encysted metacercariae of F. gigantica, adhered to transparent polyethylene sheets, were treated with KMnO4, while others were treated with NaDCC at specific concentrations and exposure times. Assessment of the effects was carried out by the detached percentage and viable metacercariae and by scanning electron microscope (SEM) ultrastructure
