Evaluation of Sodium Poly- , L-glutamate as a Plasma Expander.
Summary(1) A synthetic polypeptide, sodium poly-α, L-glutamate (SPG), has been evaluated as a plasma expander by comparing it with dextran in both normovolemic and hypovolemic dogs. (2) SPG at a concentration of 3% was equivalent to 6% dextran as a plasma expander. (3) Further studies with SPG proved it to be too toxic for clinical trial.

Glioblastoma (GBM) is an aggressive brain cancer that often recurs and resists chemotherapy. This study found that a chemical called PGE2 causes surrounding brain cells (neurons) to become over‐excited, which makes GBM cells resistant to treatment. Researchers developed a new drug, “Compound 11,” which can cross into the brain and effectively block ...

FMO2 Promotes Angiogenesis via Regulation of N‐Acetylornithine
This study identifies flavin‐containing monooxygenase 2 (FMO2) as a novel proangiogenic regulator in endothelial cells. Targeted FMO2 ablation impairs vessel sprouting, whereas its compensation potently enhances angiogenesis. Metabolomics and single‐cell sequencing reveal that FMO2 drives vascular growth via the N‐acetylornithine/ATF3/NOTCH1 axis ...

Neuro‐Cancer Interactions Shape Glioma Intratumoral Heterogeneity
This review proposes a conceptual framework for understanding glioma intratumoral heterogeneity shaped by neuro‐cancer interactions: functional patterns and transcriptional states. Functional patterns manifest as three major neural‐like adaptations with spatial and potentially hierarchical relationships, including neurogliomal synapses, glioma networks,

Cancer Neuroscience: Decoding Neural Circuitry in Tumor Evolution for Targeted Therapy
This review highlights the pivotal role of the nervous system in cancer progression, emphasizing how neural–tumor interactions—via synaptic signaling, neurotransmitters, and paracrine factors—reshape the tumor microenvironment. It introduces cancer neuroscience as an emerging field and proposes integrating advanced tools such as AI and optogenetics to ...
