Immunomodulatory Effects of Multi‐Strain Probiotic Capsules for Psoriatic Arthritis: A Pilot Double‐Blind Randomized Controlled Trial

open access: yesFood Science &Nutrition, Volume 13, Issue 11, November 2025.
Psoriatic arthritis (PsA) is a systemic autoimmune disease linked to joint inflammation and skin psoriasis. Gut dysbiosis may contribute to PsA, making probiotic supplementation a potential therapy. In our pilot study, PsA patients received a probiotic cocktail or placebo for 12 weeks.

Disintegration efficiency of sodium starch glycolates, prepared from different native starches

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Pharmaceutics and Biopharmaceutics, 1994
In a comparative evaluation, the disintegration efficiency of sodium starch glycolates prepared from seven different native starches (potato, maize, waxy maize, wheat, rice, sago and tapioca) were compared. All the sodium starch glycolates tested had a high swelling capacity, but the rate of water uptake into the disintegrant particles varied from high

Formulation and Evaluation of Tablets Containing Fenugreek Extract Using Sodium Starch Glycolate as Super Disintegrant

open access: yesJournal of Pharmaceutical Research International, 2021
The present work is aimed to formulate the tablets containing fenugreek extract as drug by wet granulation method. Further the effect of Sodium Starch Glycolate as super disintegrant on disintegration and drug release was studied. Fenugreek extract contains mucilage which retards the disintegration of tablets and hence shows slower drug release.

Epitranscriptomic reprogramming in response to low CO2 stress and m6A engineering to enhance biomass production in Nannochloropsis oceanica

open access: yesThe Plant Journal, Volume 124, Issue 3, November 2025.
Significance Statement Dynamic N6‐adenine methylation (m6A) regulates CO2‐responsive gene expression in Nannochloropsis oceanica. Genome editing of methylases NoMTA and NoMTB triggers m6A reprogramming, and CRISPR/dCas13‐based m6A engineering modulates stress tolerance and biomass production, unveiling an epitranscriptomic mechanism in microalgae ...

Proteome and Ubiquitinome Analyses Reveal the Involvement of Ubiquitination in Resistance to Maize Lethal Necrosis

open access: yesMolecular Plant Pathology, Volume 26, Issue 9, September 2025.
This study analysed the proteome and ubiquitinome of SCMV‐ and/or MCMV‐infected maize plants and demonstrated the role of ZmGOX1 in the maize response to viral infections. ABSTRACT The co‐infection of maize chlorotic mottle virus (MCMV) and sugarcane mosaic virus (SCMV) causes maize lethal necrosis (MLN), which seriously affects the yield and quality ...

Intraoral Drug Delivery: Bridging the Gap Between Academic Research and Industrial Innovations

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 35, Issue 35, August 28, 2025.
Intraoral drug delivery offers a promising route for systemic and localized therapies, yet challenges such as enzymatic degradation, limited permeability, and microbial interactions hinder efficacy. This figure highlights innovative strategies—mucoadhesive materials, enzyme inhibitors, and permeation enhancers—to overcome these barriers.
