Packaging of Macroscopic Material Payloads: Needs, Challenges, Concepts, and Future Directions
This review introduces a unified framework that decomposes any macroscopic packaging system into the payload, packaging material, and packaging strategy and combines them into a conceptual packaging equation: packaging strategy = payload + packaging material.

Exploring the unfolding pathways of protein families using Elastic Network Model
We explore how a protein’s native structure determines its unfolding process. We examine how the local structural features, like shear, and the global structural properties, like the number of soft modes, change during unfolding.

Acoustic radiation from the end of two-dimensional duct, effects of uniform flow and duct lining [PDF]
A study is presented of the radiation of acoustic modes from the end of a duct immersed in a uniformly moving medium. It is shown that the uniform flow has roughly the same effect as an increase in frequency at constant mode number: the number of lobes ...

It is shown that laser ablation pretreatment under oxygen‐free conditions enables copper–aluminium bonding at significantly lower deformation degrees and improved properties compared to mechanical brushing. Laser ablation further increases interface contact area and induces favourable residual stress states and microstructural compatibility ...

On the Nature of Infrared Singularities in $d\leq 2$ Disordered Interacting Systems
We address the problem of infrared singularities in the perturbation theory for disordered interacting systems in $d\leq 2$. We show that a typical, sufficiently large interacting system exhibits a linear instability in the spin triplet channel.

Soft Dissipative Modes in Nematodynamics
The paper analyses a possible occurrence of soft and semi-soft dissipative modes in uniaxially anisotropic nematic liquids as described by the five parametric Leslie-Ericksen-Parodi (LEP) constitutive equations (CEs). As in the similar elastic case, the soft dissipative modes theoretically cause no resistance to flow, nullifying the corresponding ...

This study investigates the tribological response of 60NiTi alloy under dry, water‐lubricated and high‐temperature conditions. The alloy exhibits decreasing wear volume and friction with increasing temperature due to the formation of protective oxide layers. The work clarifies dominant wear mechanisms and demonstrates the suitability of 60NiTi for high‐
