Modular and Self-Scalable Origami Robot: A First Approach
This paper presents a proposal of a modular robot with origami structure. The proposal is based on a self-scalable and modular link made of soft parts. The kinematics of a single link and several links interconnected is studied and validated.

A Modular Cooperative Wall-Climbing Robot Based on Internal Soft Bone
Most existing wall-climbing robots have a fixed range of load capacity and a step distance that is small and mostly immutable. It is therefore difficult for them to adapt to a discontinuous wall with particularly large gaps. Based on a modular design and

A Mechatronics-Embedded Pneumatic Soft Modular Robot Powered via Single Air Tube
Soft modular robots have advantages, including infinite degrees of freedom and various configurations. Most soft robots are actuated by inflating air pressure into their chambers. However, each chamber is connected to a tube that provides the air supply,

Active Connection Mechanism for Soft Modular Robots [PDF]
To date, most modular robotic systems lack flexibility when increasing the number of modules due to their hard building blocks and rigid connection mechanisms. In order to improve adaptation to environmental changes, softness on the module level might be beneficial. However, coping with softness requires fundamental rethinking the way modules are built.

Multimodal Soft Robot for Complex Environments Using Bionic Omnidirectional Bending Actuator
Soft robots have the characteristics of good adaptability to an environment. But at present, most soft robots only complete a single specific task, and as a result, their ability to adapt to complex environments is limited.
