Soft tissue sarcomas

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Cancer, 1997
The soft tissue sarcomas (STS) constitute approximately 15% of all canine and 7% of all feline skin and subcutaneous tumors. STS are tumors that arise from a variety of mesenchymal tissues. The aggressive nature of STS in cats, especially those tumors occurring after vaccination, suggests that novel therapies should be investigated.

Helium cold atmospheric pressure plasma reduces erastin induced inflammation and ferroptosis in human gingival fibroblasts

open access: yesScientific Reports
Oral soft tissue damage can lead to hard tissue damage in the oral cavity, such as periodontal lesions, periapical disorders, cysts, and oral tumors. Cold plasma is known to alleviate inflammation and oxidative stress and promote tissue regeneration, yet

An integrated 2D framework for quantifying cellular mechanics reveals the impact of juxtacrine Notch signalling on directed collective migration of endothelial cells

open access: yesBMC Biology
Background Collective migration is the coordinated movement of a group of cells—a fundamental process in health and disease. Many models have been developed to study the molecular and physical mechanisms of collective migration.

Extramedullary Plasmacytoma of Soft Tissues and Gingiva [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Extramedullary plasmacytoma (EMP) is a rare plasma cell neoplasm of soft tissue without bone marrow involvement or other systemic characteristics of multiple myeloma. It accounts for 3% of all plasma cell tumors.

Hybrid Auxetic Architectures: Integrating Curvature‐Driven Design for Enhanced Mechanical Tunability and Structural Performance

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Curvature‐tuned auxetic lattices are designed, fabricated, and mechanically characterized to reveal how geometric curvature governs stretchability, stress redistribution, and Poisson's ratio evolution. Photoelastic experiments visualize stress pathways, while hyperelastic simulations quantify deformation mechanics.
