Experimental Evaluation of Algorithmic Effort Estimation Models using Projects Clustering [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Advances in Computer Engineering and Technology, 2016
One of the most important aspects of software project management is the estimation of cost and time required for running information system. Therefore, software managers try to carry estimation based on behavior, properties, and project restrictions ...

Using Analytical Programming for Software Effort Estimation

open access: yes, 2016
This paper evaluates the usage of analytical programming for software effort estimation. Analytical programming and differential evolution generate regression models. The new model was generated by analytical programming and it was tested and compared with Karner’s model to assess insight to its properties.

Promiscuous stimulation of HSP70 ATPase activity by parasite‐derived J‐domains

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
The malaria parasite Plasmodium falciparum exports three highly homologous yet functionally divergent J‐domain proteins into human erythrocytes. Here, we show that J‐domains isolated from all three proteins effectively stimulate the ATPase activity of both endogenous host and exported parasite HSP70 chaperones.

Peningkatan Akurasi Estimasi Usaha dan Biaya COCOMO II Berdasarkan Gaussian dan BCO

open access: yesJurnal Nasional Teknik Elektro dan Teknologi Informasi, 2017
An accurate effort and cost estimation provides good management for software projects. Less accurate estimation will affect the management of the software project and cause the ineffectiveness of the project development process.

Applicability of mitotic figure counting by deep learning: a development and pan‐cancer validation study

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
In this study, we developed a deep learning method for mitotic figure counting in H&E‐stained whole‐slide images and evaluated its prognostic impact in 13 external validation cohorts from seven different cancer types. Patients with more mitotic figures per mm2 had significantly worse patient outcome in all the studied cancer types except colorectal ...

Software Effort Estimation Using Particle Swarm Optimization with Inertia Weight

open access: yes, 2011
Software is the most expensive element of virtually all computer based systems. For complex custom systems, a large effort estimation error can make the difference between profit and loss. Cost (Effort) Overruns can be disastrous for the developer.

Analysing the significance of small conformational changes and low occupancy states in serial crystallographic data

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
This protocol paper outlines methods to establish the success of a time‐resolved serial crystallographic experiment, by means of statistical analysis of timepoint data in reciprocal space and models in real space. We show how to amplify the signal from excited states to visualise structural changes in successful experiments.
