A Simplified Model Solar Atmosphere
Solar Physics, 1968A simplified representation of the temperature distribution in the solar photosphere is proposed: θ (τ 0) = θ 0 – θ 1 logτ 0. An expression is derived for the emergent continuous spectrum from the simple model. The limitations and applications of the simple model are discussed.

Electrodynamics of the Outer Solar Atmosphere
Space Science Reviews, 1983The structure of the outer solar atmosphere and its magnetic coupling to the photospheric motions indicate the existence of large-scale current systems. The heating and the dynamics of coronal structures is therefore governed by electrodynamic coupling of these structures to the underlying photosphere.
