Neutrino Physics and Astrophysics with the JUNO Detector
The Jiangmen Underground Neutrino Observatory (JUNO) is a 20 kton liquid scintillator multi-purpose underground detector, under construction near the Chinese city of Jiangmen, with data collection expected to start in 2021.

Abstract String theory has strong implications for cosmology, implying the absence of a cosmological constant, ruling out single‐field slow‐roll inflation, and that black holes decay. The origins of these statements are elucidated within the string‐theoretical swampland programme.

Abstract Solar superflares of S‐class (>X10 in soft X‐rays) pose extreme space weather hazards, yet their prediction remains a fundamental challenge owing to their rapid and transient natures and the limitations of conventional event‐based forecasts. We introduce for the first time, a probabilistic spatiotemporal framework designed to identify extended

We examine the weak cosmic censorship conjecture (WCCC) violation by throwing a charged and rotating test particle into a Kerr–Newman–modified gravity black hole (KN–MOG BH). The result depends on several factors, such as the relative sign of the particle’s charge and its direction of rotation with respect to black hole (BH).

Solar neutrinos and the strongest oscillation constraints on scalar NSI
Scalar non-standard neutrino interactions (sNSI) is a scenario where neutrinos can develop a medium dependent contribution to their mass due to a new scalar mediator.

A Renormalizable Neutrino Mass Model With (Z2 × Z4)⋊Z2(II) Symmetry
In this work, a renormalizable neutrino mass model based on (Z2 × Z4)⋊Z2 (II) symmetry is proposed for the modification of the μ − τ reflection symmetry. The hierarchies of lepton masses can be naturally realized, and the lepton mixing is addressed.

Neutrino Magnetic Moment in the Doublet‐Singlet Leptoquark Model
The transition magnetic moment for Majorana neutrinos is studied in a simple extension of the Standard Model. This extension incorporates two scalar Leptoquarks S1 and R~2 with quantum numbers 3¯,113,/ and (3, 2, 1/6), respectively. It is found that these Leptoquarks generate a sizable transition magnetic moment, particularly when the quark bottom is ...

Sensitivity of a low threshold directional detector to CNO-cycle solar neutrinos
A first measurement of neutrinos from the CNO fusion cycle in the Sun would allow a resolution to the current solar metallicity problem. Detection of these low-energy neutrinos requires a low-threshold detector, while discrimination from radioactive ...
