Status and New Data of the Geochemical Determination of the pp-Neutrino Flux by LOREX

open access: yesAdvances in High Energy Physics, 2012
LOREX (LORandite EXperiment) addresses the determination of the solar (pp) neutrino flux during the last four million years by exploiting the reaction  205Tl+νe→ 205Pb+e- with an incomparably low-energy threshold of 50 keV for the capture of solar ...

The Super-Kamiokande experiment

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields, 2019
Super-Kamiokande is a gigantic and versatile detector able to detect neutrinos with energies between a few MeV and a few hundred GeV. Super-K started data taking on 1st of April in 1996 after 5 years construction period and obtained compelling evidence ...

Quasi-sterile neutrinos from dark sectors. Part I. BSM matter effects in neutrino oscillations and the short-baseline anomalies.

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2022
Quasi-sterile neutrinos are a natural consequence of dark sectors interacting with the Standard Model (SM) sector via neutrino- and vector-portals. Essentially, quasi-sterile neutrinos are light dark sector fermions with two generic properties: (i) they ...

Investigating the Impact of Rocket Exhaust on Ionospheric Disturbances

open access: yesSpace Weather, Volume 24, Issue 5, May 2026.
Abstract The study of chemical releases into the ionosphere is crucial for understanding ionospheric dynamics and managing space environmental effects. In this work, we investigate the impact of rocket exhaust emissions, particularly CO2 and H2O, on electron density in the ionosphere.

Solar neutrinos and neutrino physics [PDF]

open access: yesThe European Physical Journal A, 2016
Solar neutrino studies triggered and largely motivated the major developments in neutrino physics in the last 50 years. Theory of neutrino propagation in different media with matter and fields has been elaborated. It includes oscillations in vacuum and matter, resonance flavor conversion and resonance oscillations, spin and spin-flavor precession, etc.

Solar neutrinos and leptonic spin forces

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
We quantify the effects of light spin-zero particles with pseudoscalar couplings to leptons and scalar couplings to nucleons on the evolution of solar neutrinos. In this scenario the matter potential sourced by the nucleons in the Sun’s matter gives rise

Direct detection of light dark matter and solar neutrinos via color center production in crystals

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 2018
We propose a new low-threshold direct-detection concept for dark matter and for coherent nuclear scattering of solar neutrinos, based on the dissociation of atoms and subsequent creation of color center type defects within a lattice.

GOES‐R Series X‐Ray Sensor (XRS): 2. On‐Orbit Measurements and Calibrations

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Space Physics, Volume 131, Issue 5, May 2026.
Abstract An X‐Ray Sensor (XRS) has been onboard each of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellites (GOES) since 1975. XRS measures full‐disk soft X‐ray irradiance in two wavelength bands, 0.05–0.4 nm and 0.1–0.8 nm.

A Possible Solution to the Mystery of the ANITA Anomalous Events

open access: yesAnnalen der Physik, Volume 538, Issue 4, April 2026.
In 2006 and 2014, the Antarctic Impulsive Transient Antenna (ANITA), a balloon‐borne radio observatory flying over Antarctica, detected two strange upward‐going radio pulse events that have not yet been explained by our current understanding of physics.
