Solar-forced diurnal regulation of cave drip rates via phreatophyte evapotranspiration [PDF]
We present results of a detailed study of drip rate variations at 12 drip discharge sites in Glory Hole Cave, New South Wales, Australia. Our novel time series analysis, using the wavelet synchrosqueezed transform, reveals pronounced oscillations at ...

Simulations of Oscillation Modes of the Solar Convection Zone [PDF]
We use the three-dimensional hydrodynamic code of Stein and Nordlund to realistically simulate the upper layers of the solar convection zone in order to study physical characteristics of solar oscillations.

Computational Modeling Meets 3D Bioprinting: Emerging Synergies in Cardiovascular Disease Modeling
Emerging advances in three‐dimensional bioprinting and computational modeling are reshaping cardiovascular (CV) research by enabling more realistic, patient‐specific tissue platforms. This review surveys cutting‐edge approaches that merge biomimetic CV constructs with computational simulations to overcome the limitations of traditional models, improve ...

Atmospheric, Solar, and CHOOZ neutrinos: a global three generation analysis [PDF]
We perform a global three generation analysis of the current solar and atmospheric evidence in favor of neutrino oscillations. We also include the negative results coming from CHOOZ to constrain the nu_e mixing.

Aims. We construct a new analytical model of a solar coronal loop that is embedded in a gravitationally stratified and magnetically confined atmosphere. On the basis of this analytical model, we devise a numerical model of solar coronal loops.

Phenomenology of Neutrino Oscillations [PDF]
We review the status of several phenomenological topics of current interest in neutrino oscillations: (i) Solar neutrino oscillations after the first Sudbury Neutrino Observatory measurements, including both model-independent and model-dependent results;

A Functional 2D Carbon Allotrope Combining Nanoporous Graphene and Biphenylene Segments
The synthesis of a novel nanoporous graphene (NPG) is reported with biphenylene segments via thermal fusion of 12‐armchair porous graphene nanoribbons grown on gold surfaces. Characterization using STM, AFM, and DFT reveals low‐defect semiconducting behaviour and tunable band gaps.

Asteroseismic Investigation of Known Planet Hosts in the Kepler Field
In addition to its great potential for characterizing extra-solar planetary systems the Kepler mission is providing unique data on stellar oscillations.

Model Independent Information On Solar Neutrino Oscillations [PDF]
We present the results of a Bayesian analysis of solar neutrino data in terms of nu_e->nu_{mu,tau} oscillations, independent from the Standard Solar Model predictions for the solar neutrino fluxes. We show that such a model independent analysis allows to

The solar oscillations spectrum and the solar cycle [PDF]
During the summer seasons of the years 1977 to 1985 daily velocity measurements of solar global oscillations have been obtained using a resonant scattering spectrometer. After calculating the power spectra of the daily residuals, the mean for each season is found.
