Solid Clathrate Solutions

Journal of Inclusion Phenomena, 1987
The classification of solid clathrate solutions may be subdivided into three types: interstitial solutions, those with the substitution of one guest by another and those with the substitution of the particles in a host framework is given. All these types of solutions are illustrated by experimental (or computed) state diagrams of binary and ternary ...

Solid solution softening and solid solution hardening

Acta Metallurgica, 1973
Abstract A mechanism explaining both solid solution softening and solid solution hardening has been developed by examining the motion of a screw dislocation through a combined field of Peierls potential and misfit strain centers. It was found that the strain centers, which assist the double kink nucleation by a couple force exerted on the screw ...

Cu1xAgxInSe2 Solid Solutions

Crystal Research and Technology, 1998
CuInSe 2 , AgInSe 2 , ternary compounds and Cu 1-x Ag x InSe 2 solid solutions were synthesized by one-temperature method. The composition and structure of indicated materials were established by chemical and X-ray analysis methods, lattice constants, values of σ positional parameter and bond lengths were also calculated.

ZnSe1 − xTex solid solutions

Journal of Crystal Growth, 1996
ZnSe 1-x Te x solid solutions doped with Cu and Cl have been synthesized from ZnSe and ZnTe powders. The defect structure, solubility of dopants and photoluminescence at UV and X-ray excitation have been investigated. At 300 K materials with x = 0-0.3 show intense donor-acceptor pair photoluminescence bands with peaks in the region of 1.89 to 1.57 eV.

Fast solute diffusion in solid and supersaturated solid solutions

Phase Transitions, 1988
Abstract In this paper, we review the experimental data concerning fast diffusion of solute in Pb matrix and Pb (solute) solid solutions. Using both calorimetric and radiotracer techniques the temperature dependence of solute diffusion coefficients in Pb (solute) supersaturated solid solutions is determined.

Solid Solutions

2008
Abstract When a metal is alloyed with another metal, either substitutional or interstitial solid solutions are usually formed. This chapter discusses the general characteristics of these solutions and the effects of several alloying elements on the yield strength of pure metals.

Solid solution

2006
Thermodynamically, a solution is a special description of a homogeneous mixture for which it is convenient to distinguish between the solvent A on the one hand and the solutes B, C, . , on the other hand. This asymmetrical description arises from a different choice of the standard states, i.e.

Solid Solutions

1993
Real solutions of practical interest to Earth scientists do not behave ideally, although some do come fairly close. The problem of course lies in the stringent and unrealistic physical models we have prescribed for ideal solutions. The molecules of a gas do interact with each other, molecular forces within mixed component liquids really are non-uniform,

Solutions solides organiques
