Phase Angle as an Early Functional Biomarker of Cancer‐Related Fatigue in Pediatric Oncology: A Prospective Longitudinal Study

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Pediatric cancer remains a leading cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide, particularly in low‐and middle‐income countries. Cancer treatment may impair nutritional status, alter body composition, and exacerbate cancer‐related fatigue (CRF).

ION SOLVATION IN SALTS OF BIOLOGICALLY IMPORTANT RARE EARTH METALS WITH AQUEOUS SUGAR ALCOHOL (SORBITOL) MIXED-SOLVENT SYSTEMS

open access: yesJournal of Taibah University for Science, 2017
Acoustic investigations have examined the salts of rare earth metals, such as lanthanum(III) chloride, in sorbitol-water mixed solvent systems of different concentrations at 303.15 K temperature and 1 atmospheric pressure.

Natural Killer Cells in Paediatric Soft Tissue Sarcomas: A Systematic Review

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Paediatric soft tissue sarcomas (pSTS) are a rare and heterogeneous group of malignant tumours arising in tissues of mesenchymal origin. The role of natural killer (NK) cells in pSTS remains poorly understood, with evidence fragmented across small preclinical studies and early‐phase clinical trials.

AbraLlama: Predicting Abraham Model Solute Descriptors and Modified Solvent Parameters Using Llama

open access: yesLiquids
This study explores the application of fine-tuned large language models for predicting physicochemical properties, specifically focusing on Abraham model solute descriptors (E, S, A, B, V) and modified solvent parameters (e0, s0, a0, b0, v0).

Modification of RDX and HMX crystals in procedure of solvent/anti-solvent by statistical methods of Taguchi analysis design and MLR technique

open access: yesDefence Technology, 2018
Many of the physical and functional properties of RDX and HMX explosives are related to the crystalline structure of these materials. Crystalline defects affect the quality of the explosives. Therefore, in order to enhance the quality of these materials,

A Population‐Based Study on Childhood Aplastic Anemia—Incidence, Outcomes, and Health‐Related Quality of Life

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Childhood aplastic anemia (AA) is a rare disease, and both the disease itself and its treatment cause significant morbidity. We aimed to determine the contemporary incidence of childhood AA in Finland, to compare the clinical characteristics of AA against inherited bone marrow failure syndromes (IBMFS) and refractory cytopenia of ...

Parameters Affecting the Accelerated Solvent Extraction of Polymeric Samples

open access: yesAnalytical Chemistry, 1997
Accelerated solvent extraction (ASE) is applied for the extraction of monomers and oligomers from polymeric samples. Two polymers, nylon-6 and poly(1,4-butylene terephthalate), are selected as the model samples. The kinetics of mass transfer in ASE of polymeric samples are discussed.
