Effect of Thinning on Carbon Stocks in Sonneratia apetala Buch.-Ham Plantations: a Simulation Study
Abstract Background Forests are very important for sequestering atmospheric carbon, and mangroves are amongst the most efficient carbon-sequestering ecosystems. In Bangladesh, several plantations of Sonneratia apetala have been raised, with large-scale plantations along the coastal belt.

Cohnella endophytica sp. nov., a novel endophytic bacterium isolated from bark of Sonneratia apetala
A Gram-stain-positive, aerobic, rod-shaped, endospore-forming bacterium, designated strain M2MS4P-1T, was isolated from surface-sterilized bark of Sonneratiaapetala sampled in Guangxi, China. The bacterium was characterized by a polyphasic approach to determine its taxonomic position.

The aim of present study is to investigate the phytochemical constituents and antimicrobial activity of Ethanolic extract of Sonneratia apetala. Preliminary Phytochemical tests revealed the presence of alkaloids, flavonoids, tannins , saponins , phytosterols and carbohydrates. Antimicrobial activity was evaluated by Agar well Diffusion method. In vitro

Retrieval of Mangrove Aboveground Biomass at the Individual Species Level with WorldView-2 Images
Previous research studies have demonstrated that the relationship between remote sensing-derived parameters and aboveground biomass (AGB) could vary across different species types. However, there are few studies that calibrate reliable statistical models
