Cluster Emergence and Network Evolution: A longitudinal analysis of the inventor network in Sophia-Antipolis [PDF]
A widely held view in cluster research is that clusters are characterized by the presence of networks of local collective learning. However, with a growing number of studies indicating this is not necessarily the case, the question arises under which ...

Understanding how glomeruli, the kidney's filtration units, function in intact tissue remains challenging. Glomage enables rapid 3D imaging and quantitative analysis of entire glomeruli from zebrafish larvae and mice. This approach allows scalable cell quantification and detection of structural changes, advancing kidney disease research and ...

Magnetomechanical neuromodulation using magnetic nanodiscs enables remote activation of neurons. In a hemiparkinsonian mouse model, alternating magnetic fields actuate the nanodiscs to generate torque that opens mechanosensitive ion channels within the subthalamic nucleus, thereby modulating basal ganglia motor circuitry.

Secondary Site Ligand for Integrin αVβ3 Enables Targeted mRNA Delivery
Non‐orthosteric, low‐affinity ligands for integrin αVβ3, identified by fragment screening, achieve superselective nanoparticle targeting (ακ ≈ 3) of αVβ3‐overexpressing endothelial cells. Unlike traditional arginine–glycine–aspartate decorated particles, these fragment‐functionalized LNPs discriminate cells by receptor density and deliver mRNA to ...

Rod Origami (RodOri) springs harness snap‐through instabilities of pre‐stressed curved rods with geometrically programmable buckling behavior. Integrating RodOri springs with distinct geometries yields multistable metamaterials that undergo stepwise reconfiguration via sequential snapping, achieving wide‐range tunability of stiffness and resonance ...
