Soret‐Dufour effects in electroosmotic biorheological flow of Jeffrey fluid
Heat Transfer, 2020AbstractThe Soret and Dufour cross‐diffusion on the electrokinetic flow of Jeffrey fluid augmented with peristalsis have been presented. The fundamental equations are employed to predict the mass distribution in the two‐dimensional asymmetric electroosmotic channel.

Influence of the Dufour and Soret effects on the characteristics of evaporating liquid flows
International Journal of Heat and Mass Transfer, 2020Abstract The characteristics of regimes of two-layer flows with diffuse evaporation in an infinite channel are studied in the frame of the Boussinesq approximation for the Navier – Stokes equations. A joint flow of an evaporating liquid and a co-current gas flux is simulated with the help of the exact solution of a special type for the convection ...

Unsteady Rheology of MHD Newtonian Material with Soret and Dufours Effects
International Journal of Applied and Computational Mathematics, 2017The analysis has been conducted to analyze the magneto-hydrodynamics combined with Soret and Dufours effects in the rheology of a Newtonian fluid over an unsteady stretched wall. Simultaneous effects of heat and mass transport processes in the presence of generative/destructive chemical reactions are analyzed.

Unsteady Flow of Third Grade Fluid With Soret and Dufour Effects
Journal of Heat Transfer, 2012Unsteady flow of a third grade fluid in the presence of Soret and Dufour effects is considered. Employing similarity transformations, the governing equation for the velocity, concentration, and temperature fields is presented. The computations for the corresponding problems are performed by using a homotopy analysis method (HAM).

Soret-Dufour effects on MHD rotating flow of a viscoelastic fluid
International Journal of Numerical Methods for Heat & Fluid Flow, 2014Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to study the heat and mass transfer with Soret-Dufour effects for the magnetohydrodynamic three-dimensional flow of second grade fluid in the rotating frame of reference. Design/methodology/approach – Series solution is ...

Observation of a soret-dufour effect for laser-generated carriers in germanium
Physica B+C, 1983Abstract The absorption of high-intensity laser radiation in semiconductors can generate high carrier densities and temperatures. If the absorption coefficient is high, large lattice temperature gradients and, therefore, band-gap gradients are produced.

Entropy generation and Dufour and Soret effects in radiative flow by a rotating cone
Physica Scripta, 2020Abstract Here thermo-diffusion and diffusion-thermo behaviors in mixed convection radiative flow by a rotating cone is examined. Viscous dissipation and radiation in energy equation are present. Dufour and Soret effects are discussed. Entropy optimization is considered. Nonlinear PDEs are reduced to ODEs through appropriate variables.

Soret and Dufour Effects on 3-D Rotating Hybrid Nanofluid
2022The impact of the Dufour and Soret numbers on a hybrid nanofluid in a boundary layer area across a spinning sheet is presented in this paper. The collection of flow governing (PDEs) partial differential equations was turned into a system of (ODEs) ordinary differential equations, which are then solved utilising BVP4C code in MATLAB .

Three-Dimensional Flow of Maxwell Fluid with Soret and Dufour Effects
Journal of Aerospace Engineering, 2016AbstractThis paper reports the heat and mass transfer effects in three-dimensional flow of a Maxwell fluid over a stretching surface with convective boundary conditions. Analysis is carried out in the presence of mass transfer with first-order chemical reactions, and with Soret and Dufour effects.
