Effects of Poult Source on Turkey Production Parameters

Avian Diseases, 1991
Flock records from a commercial turkey company were analyzed to determine if poult source affected flock performance. Comparisons were made between flocks supplied by two hatcheries (X and Y) reared on the same farms and among flocks reared on different farms.

Love Waves and the Parameters of the Source

1967
In this chapter we investigate the possibility of determining, by observations on Love waves, the following source parameters: the depth of focus (principally within the boundaries of the crust) — according to the spectra of these waves; the magnitude — according to the amplitudes at various epicentral distances; and the mechanism — according to the ...

A robust and efficient algorithm for source parameter estimation

1995 International Conference on Acoustics, Speech, and Signal Processing, 2002
A large number of array processing applications such as radar, sonar, etc. require the estimation of some parameters given the output of an array of sensors. Many high resolution methods for source parameter estimation are based on the eigen decomposition of the covariance matrix of the sensor output.

Earthquake magnitude and source parameters

Bulletin of the Seismological Society of America, 1969
abstract Previous attempts to find empirical linear relationships between the magnitude, M, of an earthquake and the logarithm of one or more of the source parameters (length L, width W, displacement D) are reviewed. The fault parameters associated with a set of 27 earthquakes with strike-slip movement in the magnitude range 3.4 to 8.3 ...

Test of Source-Parameter Inversion of Intensity Data

Natural Hazards, 2001
We demonstrate that the approximate source kinematics of the San Fernando, 1971 earthquake can be back-predicted by analysing its macroseismic intensity data set (felt reports) objectively and quantitatively. This is done by inverting either the data set of the intensity values observed in all sites, or the intensities tessellated with the Voronoi ...

Semi-blind source parameter separation

1997
Independent Component Analysis (ICA) is a useful extension of standard Principal Component Analysis (PCA). The ICA model is utilized mainly in blind separation of unknown source signals from their linear mixtures. In some applications, the mixture coefficients are totally unknown, while some knowledge about temporal model exists.

Study on the parameters for the convergence of the Method of Auxiliary Sources

2019 15th International Wireless Communications & Mobile Computing Conference (IWCMC), 2019
The purpose of this paper is a rigorous accuracy analysis of the parameters affecting the solution convergence of the method of auxiliary sources (MAS). This study concerns the electromagnetic scattering of a transverse wave by a perfectly conducting, infinite, cylinder with an arbitrary shape.

Parameter estimation with multiple sources and levels of uncertainties

IEEE Transactions on Signal Processing, 2000
Summary: Least-squares designs are sensitive to errors in the data, which can be due to several factors including the approximation of complex models by simpler ones, the presence of unavoidable experimental errors when collecting data, or even due to unknown or unmodeled effects.

Estimation of spatial and spectral parameters of multiple sources

IEEE Transactions on Information Theory, 1983
The problem of estimating spatial and spectral parameters of multiple sources by sensor arrays is considered. A parametric model is derived for the multichannel measurement vector. Tbe model parameters are the time delays and the autoregressive moving-average parameters of all the sources.
