NMR and Electron Microscopy Studies of Soybean Seeds, Soybean Proteins, and Oil for Improved Utilization in Foods and Feeds [PDF]
NMR, NIR and EM techniques are suitable methods of measuring protein and oil content in soybeans. After completion of a measurement with NMR or NIR, a soybean sample could be either replanted or consummated.

Abstract The effects of several modifications to soybean protein isolate (SPI) production on genistein series composition and content were analyzed. Combined variations of protein extraction pH and protein precipitation pH revealed that the maximum content of total genistein series was obtained with protein extraction at pH 8.0 and protein ...

The pgip family in soybean and three other legume species: evidence for a birth-and-death model of evolution [PDF]
Polygalacturonase-inhibiting proteins (PGIPs) are leucine-rich repeat (LRR) plant cell wall glycoproteins involved in plant immunity. They are typically encoded by gene families with a small number of gene copies whose evolutionary origin has been poorly

Effect of isolation conditions on structural properties and surface behavior of soy-whey proteins [PDF]
In this study, the impact of isolation conditions on structural and surface properties at the air/water interface of soy-whey proteins (SWP) was assessed. SWP were obtained by precipitation of soy-whey (at pH 4.5 or 8.0) with acetone or ammonium sulfate.

Pressurized water extraction of isoflavones by experimental design from soybean flour and Soybean Protein Isolate [PDF]
A Doehlert experimental design was conducted and surface response methodology was used to determine the effect of temperature, contact time and solid liquid ratio on isoflavone extraction from soybean flour or Soybean Protein Isolate in pressurized water system. The optimal conditions conducted gave an extraction yield of 85% from soybean flour.
