Properties of protein isolates extracted by ultrasonication from soybean residue (okara)
Soybean protein extraction was evaluated using conventional (alkaline phosphate buffer) and ultrasonication assisted methods. The impact of the extraction method on protein yield, chemical composition, and structural properties of the protein isolates was assessed.

Insoluble soybean polysaccharides: Obtaining and evaluation of their O/W emulsifying properties [PDF]
The aims of this work were to obtain different samples of insoluble soybean polysaccharides (ISPS) from defatted soy flour and to study their potential application as O/W emulsifier. In this regard, the insoluble residue (okara) resulting from an aqueous

FTIR Spectroscopy of Protein Isolates of Salt-Tolerant Soybean Mutants
The effect of salinity on the conformation of proteins of four salt-tolerant M2 generation mutants of soybean plants (S04-05/150-2, S04-05/150-8, S04-05/150-106, and S04-05/150-114) was investigated using Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy. Salinity is one of the important abiotic stress factors that limits growth and productivity of plants.

Liquid chromatographic strategies for separation of bioactive compounds in food matrices [PDF]
Nowadays, there is an increasing attention for nutraceuticals and, in general, bioactive compounds naturally present in food. Indeed, the possibility of preserving human health and preventing disease (e.g., cardiovascular diseases, cancer etc.) by the ...

Two macromolecular resistance‐reversal agents (MRRAs)—linear (MRRAL) and nanostructured (MRRAN) polymers were fabricated by integrating DOTA motifs into tunable polycationic scaffolds. MRRAs exhibit superior antibacterial potency once combined with meropenem (MEM) through (i) bacterial membrane disruption via localized cationic charge and ...

In maize, the bHLH transcription factor ZmbHLH118 directly binds to the promoter of ZmCLCa and inhibits its expression. Tonoplast‐localized ZmCLCa mediates NO3− influx into the vacuole to regulate intracellular NO3− homeostasis, modulating nitrate uptake and metabolism, plant growth, and grain yield.
