Transport of Mirror Mode Structures through Saturn’s Magnetopause Reconnection
Magnetopause reconnection plays a significant role in transferring plasma and energy from the solar wind to planetary magnetospheres. Using a Cassini measurement, we reported a magnetopause reconnection at Saturn, identified by the Hall magnetic field ...

This paper summarizes the activities carried out by WP 3.1 of WG 3 of COST 296 action. The Work Package deals mostly with medium and large ionospheric structures that impacts on GNSS signals. In the research done by this European team, particular attention was given to the ionosphere/space weather monitoring, to the analysis of the variability of the ...

Cutaneous Melanoma Drives Metabolic Changes in the Aged Bone Marrow Immune Microenvironment
Melanoma, the deadliest form of skin cancer, increasingly affects older adults. Our study reveals that melanoma induces changes in iron and lipid levels in the bone marrow, impacting immune cell populations and increasing susceptibility to ferroptosis.

Two-dimensional full-wave simulations of waves in space and tokamak plasmas
We illustrate the capabilities of a recently developed two-dimensional full wave code (FW2D) in space and tokamak plasmas by adopting various values of density, magnetic field configuration and strength as well as boundary shape.

Nonlinear structures in space and laboratory plasmas
Coherent nonlinear structures in the form of vortical motions are frequently observed in laboratory devices and in auroral plasmas. Our objective here is to suggest that any realistic description of plasma vortices must involve three-dimensional ...

Value of MRI Outcomes for Preventive and Early‐Stage Trials in Spinocerebellar Ataxias 1 and 3
ABSTRACT Objective To examine the value of MRI outcomes as endpoints for preventive and early‐stage trials of two polyglutamine spinocerebellar ataxias (SCAs). Methods A cohort of 100 participants (23 SCA1, 63 SCA3, median Scale for the Assessment and Rating of Ataxia (SARA) score = 5, 42% preataxic, and 14 gene‐negative controls) was scanned at 3T up ...

A langmuir multi-probe system for the characterization of atmospheric pressure arc plasmas [PDF]
The 'high-pressure' atmospheric (TIG) arc plasma is studied by means of a multi-Langmuir probe system. In order to determine the appropriate regime of operation, definitions of the plasma parameters for the description of the argon arc are considered and

Fluid Biomarkers of Disease Burden and Cognitive Dysfunction in Progressive Supranuclear Palsy
ABSTRACT Objective Identifying objective biomarkers for progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP) is crucial to improving diagnosis and establishing clinical trial and treatment endpoints. This study evaluated fluid biomarkers in PSP versus controls and their associations with regional 18F‐PI‐2620 tau‐PET, clinical, and cognitive outcomes.
