The Development of Spark Discharges in Hydrogen [PDF]
Streak photography has been used to supplement the earlier shutter photo. graphic investigation of Doran and Meyer (1967) using the same coaxial cable discharge circuit. Additional information has also been obtained from measurement of the potential distribution between the electrodes at two stages in the spark development.

Here, we demonstrate that HS1BP3 interacts with Cortactin through a proline‐rich region (PRR3.1) and show that this interaction, and HS1BP3 itself, promote cancer cell proliferation and invasion. Inhibition of this interaction leads to build‐up of TKS5 in multivesicular endosomes and altered secretion of CD63 and CD9, providing an explanation for the ...

Analysis of Energy Transfer in the Ignition System for High-Speed Combustion Engines
In order to produce reliable and reproducible ignition of lean fuel–air mixtures and highly stratified mixtures, it is necessary to ensure a high concentration of spark discharge energy and to provide a strong energy impulse for the triggering of chain ...

Loss of proton‐sensing TDAG8 increases tumor progression in mouse models of colon cancer
Loss of the pH‐sensing receptor TDAG8 accelerates colorectal cancer progression in mice. Animals lacking TDAG8 expression had increased tumor growth, DNA damage, and recruitment of tumor‐associated immune cells, including macrophages, neutrophils, and monocytes.

Generation and Diagnostics of Ambient Air Glow Discharge in Centimeter-Order Gaps
Re-pulsing glow discharges in gaps up to 2 cm were experimentally investigated in atmospheric pressure air. Discharge was ignited as a sequence of spark and glow discharge and sustained in a glow regime after ignition. It was confirmed that the discharge

STUDY OF SPARK DISCHARGE AND CYCLE-TO-CYCLE COMBUSTION VARIATIONS USING OPTICAL DIAGNOSTICS
Combustion plays a dominant role in power generation and transportation. In spark ignition (SI) engines, the combustion process is originated from an electrical discharge within the spark plug electrodes.

Evolutionarily divergent DUF4465 domains have a common vitamin B12‐binding function
We show that DUF4465 family proteins, widespread across bacteria from gut microbiomes, hydrothermal vents, and soil, share a common vitamin B12‐binding function. These augmented β‐jellyroll proteins bind vitamin B12 via extended loops. Our findings establish sequence‐diverse DUF4465 proteins as a widespread class of B12‐binding proteins, highlighting ...

Dielectric and Gas Production Characteristics of Synthetic Esters Under Different Discharge Energies
With the increasing demand for safety and sustainable development in the power industry, the research on synthetic esters as a new type of insulating oil is becoming more and more important. This article takes pentaerythritol ester as the research object,

Modeling spark-plug discharge in humid air
Detailed knowledge of the species involved in the oxidation steps during combustion is of interest for technological applications. Using a formerly developed numerical model for a spark-plug discharge in dry air at atmospheric pressure, we studied here ...
