Influence of overgrowing of spawning grounds by macrovegetation on efficiency of natural reproduction of north Caspian voblas

open access: yesЮг России: экология, развитие, 2015
The importance of macrophytes overgrowing spawning grounds located in the Volga River delta for the natural reproduction of roach is considered taking into account the depressive state of its stock.

Reproductive schedules in southern bluefin tuna: are current assumptions appropriate? [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2012
Southern bluefin tuna (SBT) appear to comprise a single stock that is assumed to be both mixed across its distribution and having reproductive adults that are obligate, annual spawners.

Using a larval growth index to detect the environment-recruitment relationships and its linkage with basin-scale climate variability: A case study for Japanese anchovy (Engraulis japonicus) in the Yellow Sea

open access: yesEcological Indicators, 2021
Increasing evidence has suggested that climate variability has a vital impact on the stock fluctuation of many small pelagic fishes by regulating their recruitment.

Mediterranean red coral as a spawning ground for cuttlefish

open access: yesGlobal Journal of Ecology, 2022
The Mediterranean red coral (Corallium rubrum) is a long-lived and slow-growing gorgonian, which suffered intense exploitation due to its precious calcium carbonate skeleton used in jewelry and traded worldwide [1].

On the Spawning Season and Spawning Ground of the Japanese gizzard, Konosirus punctatus, in Lake Hamana.

open access: yesNIPPON SUISAN GAKKAISHI, 1974
The spawning season and spawning ground of the Japanese gizzard shad, Konosirus punctatus, in Lake Hamana were estimated based on gonad maturity, seasonal and spatial distribution of spawned eggs, and catch statistics. The results obtained were as follows:1) The spawning season of the Japanese gizzard shad in Lake Hamana is believed to be from mid-April

Reproduction of pikeperch (Sander lucioperca Linnaeus, 1758): Artificial spawning ground techniques and embryo monitoring

open access: yesAgricultura, 2022
Our present work was carried out on reproduction techniques of the pikeperch on artificial spawning grounds with the main objective to improve the embryonic and larval development. The experimentation was performed at the level of the aquaculture farm of

Two Routes to Land: Genomic Underpinnings of Parallel Aerial Egg Deposition in Aquatic Old‐World Pila and New‐World Pomacea (Ampullariidae)

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Comparative genomics of Gondwana‐diverged Pila and Pomacea reveals parallel evolution of aerial oviposition. Convergent chromosomal rearrangements reshape regulatory landscapes within topologically associating domains. Lineage‐specific gene family expansions and viral‐derived perivitelline proteins (PV1) underpin desiccation resistance.

Estimating the occurrence of chum salmon Oncorhynchus keta of artificial origin on spawning grounds in the rivers and lakes of Iturup Island

open access: yesИзвестия ТИНРО
Artificial reproduction of pacific salmon has been repeatedly criticized due to negative impact on natural populations. One of its aspects is replacement of wild spawners by spawners originated from hatchery on natural spawning grounds.

T2T Genome Assembly and Multi‐Omics Data Reveal Terrestrial Adaptation and Mucus Biosynthesis in Tropical Leatherleaf Slug (Laevicaulis alte)

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A gap‐free genome assembly and multi‐omics comparison of the terrestrial slug Laevichaulis alte with an aquatic relative reveal that expansion of the VEGF family orchestrates mucus production, lipid metabolism, and immune defense—highlighting key molecular innovations for conquering life on land.

The Interoperability Challenge in DFT Workflows Across Implementations

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Discovery, EarlyView.
Interoperability and cross‐validation remain major challenges in the computational materials science. In this work, we introduce a common input/output standard that enables internal translation across multiple workflow managers—AiiDA, PerQueue, Pipeline Pilot, and SimStack—while producing results in a unified schema.
