Population Genetics Reveals Insights Into Cryophytum Biogeography in South Africa
This study investigated the population genetic structure, biogeography and environmental drivers of divergence in Cryophytum crystallinum and C. guerichianum, two closely related Mesembryanthemoideae species, and evaluated a putative hybrid. Cryophytum crystallinum showed genetically similar populations at either end of its coastal range, with ...

We used mitochondrial COI genes and nuclear gene 28S rRNA genes to investigate the phylogenetic relationships and evolutionary history of an unknown earthworm genus collected in Wangjiazhai Town, Zhongshan District, Liupanshui City. The results of molecular analyses supported it belongs to an Eisenia andrei/fetida complex.

Nanomaterials in Edible Mushroom Production: Yield Optimization, Biofortification and SDG Alignment
Nanotechnology enhances sustainable mushroom production across pre‐ and post‐harvest stages. Nano‐fertilizers (Zn, Se) and growth stimulants (TiO2, ZnO) improve yield and nutritional quality. Antimicrobial nanoparticles (AgNPs) contribute to effective disease control.

The Structure of the Chemotype Determining Locus in Cannabis sativa
ABSTRACT The chemical phenotype (chemotype) of Cannabis sativa is defined by the ratio of cannabidiolic acid (CBDA) to Δ9‐tetrahydrocannabinolic acid (THCA). Although the Mendelian segregation of these traits suggests a single‐locus biallelic system, recent sequencing and phylogenetic evidence indicate they are encoded by two distinct, tightly linked ...

Abstract Multiple drillings in the Yorke Peninsula, South Australia, recently confirmed the presence of natural hydrogen (H2) in shallow sedimentary units. While radiolysis and Fe‐oxidation in the basement are potential generation mechanisms, their respective contributions remain unconstrained.

Hybrid Horizons: Screening Hybridisation Through Nuclear Environmental DNA
ABSTRACT Effective monitoring of hybrid zones is essential for understanding evolutionary dynamics and mitigating species loss caused by human‐mediated hybridisation. Conventional methods rely on sampling numerous individuals, which is costly, time‐consuming and often impractical for rare or elusive species.
