The Uppsala APP Mutation Promotes Wild‐Type Amyloid‐β Aggregation and Deposition In Vivo
We investigated in vivo cross‐seeding of amyloid‐β (Aβ) isoforms in transgenic mice co‐expressing wild‐typeAβ and the Uppsala‐mutant Aβ variant (AβUpp), lacking six central residues. Weleveraged MALDI‐MS imaging and hyperspectral microscopy to follow spatio‐temporalAβ deposition.

Prolonged exposure to stiff extracellular matrix drives cancer‐associated fibroblasts into a persistently activated myofibroblast state. Two parallel pathways are identified: β1 integrin activation smoothens the nuclear lamina to reduce lamin–chromatin contacts, while the formin mDia2 regulates nuclear actin to alter chromatin organization.

The relationship between clownfishes and sea anemones is one of the most recognizable examples of symbioses on the planet. There are 30 described species of clownfishes, which have adaptively radiated to live with sea anemones, but only 10 nominal ...

DNA-based species delimitation in algae
Given the problems of species delimitation in algae using morphology or sexual compatibility, molecular data are becoming the standard for delimiting species and testing their traditional boundaries.

DNA barcoding for community ecology--how to tackle a hyperdiverse, mostly undescribed Melanesian fauna. [PDF]
Trigonopterus weevils are widely distributed throughout Melanesia and hyperdiverse in New Guinea. They are a dominant feature in natural forests, with narrow altitudinal zonation.

PSMA8‐Containing 20S Proteasome Regulates Spermiogenesis and Male Fertility
PSMA8 assembles s20S proteasome that degrades specific substrates in elongating spermatids. Degradation of s20S‐substrates activates translation of FXR1‐target mRNAs, which are essential for mitochondrial sheath formation and sperm morphogenesis.

Redox‐Dependent Chaperoning of GBF1 Condensates Regulates Seed Germination in Arabidopsis
In dormant seeds (low ROS), GBF1 forms liquid condensates to repress the germination gene CathB3, and the chaperone GIP1 maintains condensate liquidity and repressive activity. Upon imbibition (high ROS), ROS oxidize GIP1 during germination, impairing its chaperone function.
