Spectral characteristics of aging postural control

Gait & Posture, 1995
Abstract The purpose of this study was to apply techniques of spectral analysis to the study of postural control and determine if ageing results in changes to spectral parameters obtained from postural forces. Subjects were young adults and elderly who live independently and had no difficulty performing tasks of daily living.

Spectral Transmission Characteristics of Tinted Lenses

Archives of Ophthalmology, 1981
A total of 90 prescription and commercially available tinted lenses were evaluated for spectra transmission characteristics. An inappropriately large number of these lenses transmitted unnecessarily high amounts of light in the near ultraviolet, visible, and near infrared portions of the spectrum.

Spectral and spectral-polarization characteristics of potato leaves

Journal of Applied Spectroscopy, 2000
The results of laboratory investigations of the spectral and spectral-polarization characteristics of radiation reflected from the leaves of potato(Solanum tuberosum) of different varieties are discussed. During the vegetation season of 1997, the angular dependence of the degree and azimuth of polarization of radiation reflected from potato leaves as ...

Stochastic Model Utilizing Spectral and Spatial Characteristics

IEEE Transactions on Pattern Analysis and Machine Intelligence, 1987
In remote sensing, because of physical properties of targets, sensor pixels in spatial proximity to one another are class conditionally correlated. Our main objective is to exploit this spatial correlation. Therefore, a two-dimensional causal first order Markov model was used to extract the spatial and spectral information and, based upon it, new ...

Spectral Characteristics Of Regional Hemodynamics

Proceedings of the Annual International Conference of the IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society, 1992
In this study the spectral characteristics of aortic and renal blood flow velocities and their link to arterial blood pressure have been evaluated in freely moving rats. The analysis showed a specific spectral pattern for each flow velocity with a predominance of the fastest spectral components in the renal flow.

Method for smoothing spectral characteristics

Journal of Applied Spectroscopy, 1980
(1) where 0(m) denotes an additive noise with the mean value M[0(m)] = 0 and the dispersion R. Utilization of estimates of the type (0t ~ ~S (~,,) requires application of statistics and a large duration of the experiment, in the course of which the nonstationary character of the signals investigated manifests itself; this nonstationary character is ...

Spectral Characteristics of Polydeuterated Toluenes

Applied Spectroscopy, 1969
Analysis of the infrared spectra of some polydeuterated toluenes obtained by proton exchange with BF3-D3PO4 demonstrated the unreliability of this analytical tool in the 4000–900 cm−1 region. Useful correlations can be obtained in the 900–500 cm−1 region if suitable instrumentation is available.

Some spectral characteristics of ?-matrices

Journal of Soviet Mathematics, 1987
The investigation of spectral properties and characteristics of λ-matrices of general form is continued. The concept of a matrix solution is extended to the case of singular λ-matrices. The concept of reducing subspaces and the concepts of a block eigenvalue and a block eigenvector are generalized.

Spectral characteristics of interchange turbulence

Journal of Geophysical Research: Space Physics, 1986
The spectral characteristics of turbulence associated with the two‐dimensional magnetized Rayleigh‐Taylor instability in the presence of a background neutral gas are studied. Particular attention is paid to comparing the electrostatic potential spectra obtained in the ion‐neutral collision‐dominated case with the spectra from the ion inertia‐dominated ...

Trigeminy electrocardiogram spectral characteristics study

CARDIOMETRY, 2023
This paper presents the results of a study in which the method of ECG decomposition in the time domain (DMTD) was applied, followed by a spectral analysis. A digital signal with trigeminy of the first lead of a standard electrocardiograph was processed.
