A case study on a small-scale laboratory vehicle frame is used to investigate the variability of the updated finite element (FE) models that arises from model and measurement errors and demonstrate the effect of this variability on response predictions ...

Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.

EXOSC10, an essential nuclear RNA exosome‐associated 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease, is inhibited by the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil (5‐FU), and EXOSC10 depletion increases 5‐FU sensitivity. The colon‐cancer variant EXOSC10S402T, located in a proteolysis motif, is stable and nuclear but nonfunctional in vivo.

Spectral-element/Kirchhoff method for fan-tone directivity calculations
A Kirchhoff integral method is coupled to a spectral-element radiation solver for efficient computations of fan-tone directivities at arbitrary distances from a turbofan inlet The Kirchhoff algorithm accurately constructs the acoustic solution at ...

Intratumour heterogeneity complicates precision management of advanced endometrial cancer. Circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) offers a minimally invasive strategy to capture tumor evolution and therapeutic resistance. Here, we compare tumor‐agnostic NGS with tumor‐informed ddPCR, outlining their relative sensitivity, concordance, and clinical implications ...

A urine‐based digital PCR assay targeting two hotspot TERT promoter variants detected bladder cancer with high sensitivity and no false positives in this case–control cohort. The streamlined AbsoluteQ workflow outperformed Sanger sequencing and supports non‐invasive molecular testing for bladder cancer detection.

Pair‐wise comparison of the CellSearch and FETCH enrichment technologies for circulating tumor cells (CTCs) from metastatic breast, prostate, and small cell lung cancer patients shows an increased capture of CTCs using FETCH enrichment. The clinical implementation of circulating tumor cells (CTCs) as a predictive tool for therapy efficacy in the ...

Spectral element simulations of flow past an ellipsoid at different Reynolds numbers
A new method is developed to simulate the fully coupled motion involving an ellipsoidal particle and the ambient fluid. This method essentially reduces a two-phase flow problem into a single-phase fluid flow problem.

New spectral element method for the singular perturbation problem of second order
As the solution of singular perturbation problem of second order has a boundary layer, it is difficult to obtain ideal approximation results for traditional numerical methods.

The novel styrylquinazolinone‐based molecule W1B effectively suppresses glioblastoma by inhibiting IGF1R and EGFR. In high‐glucose microenvironments driving tumor resistance, W1B acts synergistically with the EGFR inhibitor dacomitinib. This combination safely blocks compensatory survival signaling in zebrafish xenograft models. Showcasing promising in
