Integrating UAV-Mounted Diffraction Spectroscopy and FBG Sensor Networks for Real-Time Forest Health Monitoring

open access: yesIEEE Access
Real-time forest health assessment requires both fine-scale physiological measurements and landscape-scale biochemical mapping, yet current monitoring strategies rarely integrate in-situ and airborne modalities into a unified operational framework. Here,

Development of Low-Cost Portable Spectrometers for Detection of Wood Defects

open access: yesItalian National Conference on Sensors, 2020
Portable spectroscopic instruments are an interesting alternative for in-field and on-line measurements. However, the practical implementation of visible-near infrared (VIS-NIR) portable sensors in the forest sector is challenging due to operation in ...

Degradation mechanism of the von Willebrand factor A2 domain by nattokinase

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Nattokinase, a natto‐derived protease, exhibits potent antithrombotic effects. This study demonstrates that nattokinase directly cleaves the von Willebrand factor (vWF) A2 domain in vitro. Unlike the native regulator ADAMTS13, nattokinase degrades folded vWF independently of shear stress.

Concept For Fast Spectral Characterisation Of Imaging Spectrometers [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
For imaging spectrometers in the range of 350 - 2500 nm spectral characterization is accomplished currently at the Calibration Home Base (CHB) facility at DLR Oberpfaffenhofen using a Quartz-Tungsten-Halogen (QTH) lamp and a monochromator ...

Modulation of Homer1 EVH1 domain internal dynamics by putative autism‐associated mutations

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The putative autism‐associated M65I and S97L variants of the EVH1 domain of the postsynaptic scaffold protein Homer1 do not exhibit substantial changes in their overall structure or partner binding. Both of them, but especially the M65I variant, show altered internal dynamics relative to the wild‐type domain on the μs‐ms timescale, indicated by the ...
