Transfer conditions and transmission bias in capillaries of vacuum interfaces [PDF]
A detailed study of the transfer of ions in transfer capillaries of electrospray ion sources is presented. The laminar flow field for various capillary sizes and wall temperatures is calculated. It forms the base of ion transfer simulation of a large number of ions with space charge.

Nanopriming enhances plant resilience to environmental challenges; however, its effectiveness across diverse genetic backgrounds, including genetic modifications and natural variations, remains uncertain. These findings demonstrate that nanopriming improves efficacy when natural genetic variations are considered, particularly in genetically modified ...

AlphaFold‐Guided Bespoke Gene Editing Enhances Field‐Grown Soybean Oil Contents
An AlphaFold‐guided method is developed to functionally optimize soybean sugar transporters and achieve bespoke gene editing of GmSWEET10a/b to improve oil content in an elite soybean cultivar in multi‐year, multi‐site field trials. The combination of AI‐guided protein design and gene editing may unlock a huge potential to improve the genetic trait de ...

Molecular Dynamics Simulation of Sympathetic Crystallization of Molecular Ions [PDF]
It is shown that the translational degrees of freedom of a large variety of molecules, from light diatomic to heavy organic ones, can be cooled sympathetically and brought to rest (crystallized) in a linear Paul trap. The method relies on endowing the molecules with an appropriate positive charge, storage in a linear radiofrequency trap, and ...

Mass Spectrometry in the Elucidation of the Glycoproteome of Bacterial Pathogens [PDF]
Presently some three hundred post-translational modifications are known to occur in bacteria in vivo. Many of these modifications play critical roles in the regulation of proteins and control key biological processes.

The tumor microenvironment‐responsive nanoagonists are developed using an organic–inorganic copolymer composed of the polymer (PC6AB) and manganous phosphate ionic oligomers (MnP). PC6AB with membranolytic activity selectively interacts with tumor cell membranes to induce immunogenic cell death, while MnP activates the STING pathway in immune cells ...

Identification and Application of a Novel Patulin Degrading Enzyme From Meyerozyma guilliermondii
Patulin (PAT), a hazardous mycotoxin, threatens human health. A novel yeast‐derived short‐chain dehydrogenase/reductase effectively degrades PAT into nontoxic ascladiol via catalytic triad activity. The biological detoxification process has no significant effect on the quality of fresh pear juice.
