Strain‐Preserving Transfer of Freestanding Oxide Membranes for Tunable Magnetic Anisotropy
An epoxy‐assisted exfoliation and transfer strategy circumvents the trade‐off between structural flexibility and strain tunability in freestanding oxide membranes. Epitaxial strain is effectively preserved, enabling versatile and robust control of magnetic anisotropy without sacrificing flexibility.

Liquid metal catalysts are widely assumed to promote high‐quality 2D growth. In this work, operando experiments and machine‐learning‐accelerated simulations show that hBN on Cu breaks this graphene‐derived expectation, where molten Cu promotes multilayer/3D growth, but re‐solidified single‐crystal Cu stabilizes monolayer formation.

Specular microscopy of the corneal endothelium. [PDF]
The endothelium of the normal corneas of 67 human subjects was studied in vivo with the specular microscope in order to quantify the method as a means of sampling the cell density of the tissue. By altering surface chemical bonds to prolong relaxation time and shift absorption to lower frequencies, SiC/rare earth–sulfur (RE─S, RE = La, Ce, Pr, Sm, Gd, Er) materials achieve excellent low‐frequency electromagnetic wave absorption under extreme conditions, offering a new direction for designing high‐performance SiC‐based absorbers.

Extrinsic and Intrinsic Charge Transfer at Interfaces of Membrane‐Based Oxide Heterostructures
Freestanding oxides have emerged as a new opportunity to tailor oxides outside of the typical epitaxial constraints. We present the fabrication of TiO2‐terminated SrTiO3 membranes via direct growth control. We demonstrate competing ionic and electronic charge transfer in LaAlO3/SrTiO3 bilayers using near ambient pressure XPS.
