Colorectal cancer‐derived FGF19 is a metabolically active serum biomarker that exerts enteroendocrine effects on mouse liver

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Meta‐transcriptome analysis identified FGF19 as a peptide enteroendocrine hormone associated with colorectal cancer prognosis. In vivo xenograft models showed release of FGF19 into the blood at levels that correlated with tumor volumes. Tumoral‐FGF19 altered murine liver metabolism through FGFR4, thereby reducing bile acid synthesis and increasing ...

Research of closed-loop voltage and speed regulation method based on six-pulse-wave AC/AC frequency converter

open access: yesGong-kuang zidonghua, 2013
In view of problem of bigger speed difference between frequency levels in high frequencies in speed regulation technology of six-pulse-wave AC/AC frequency converter, the paper proposed a closed-loop voltage and speed regulation method based on six-pulse-

Regulating speed: social acceleration, and international law

open access: yes, 2018
This chapter examines some consequences of social acceleration, the ‘speeding up of time’, for international law. The first part of the chapter outlines some leading theories on social acceleration, in particular the theory developed by Hermut Rosa.

Dimethyl fumarate combined with cisplatin at subcytotoxic doses sensitizes cervical cancer toward ferroptosis and apoptosis through GSH restriction and p53 (re)activation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) reduces growth of HPV‐positive cervical cancer spheroids and induces ferroptosis in cervical cancer cells via blocking SLC7A11/Glutathione (GSH) axis. Combination of subcytotoxic doses of DMF and cisplatin (CDDP) further suppresses spheroid growth and drives cell death in 2D culture models.

Design and develop speed/pressure regulator [PDF]

open access: yes, 1993
The Physics Division at Oak Ridge National Laboratory has several recirculating water cooling systems. One of them supplies deionized water at 150 psi, which is mainly used for cooling magnet windings at the Oak Ridge Isochronous Cyclotron (ORIC). The system has three 125-hp water pumps, each of which is capable of supplying water at the rate of 1000 ...

RIPK4 function interferes with melanoma cell adhesion and metastasis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
RIPK4 promotes melanoma growth and spread. RIPK4 levels increase as skin lesions progress to melanoma. CRISPR/Cas9‐mediated deletion of RIPK4 causes melanoma cells to form less compact spheroids, reduces their migratory and invasive abilities and limits tumour growth and dissemination in mouse models.

Nonlinear Dual-Mode Control of Variable-Speed Wind Turbines with Doubly Fed Induction Generators

open access: yes, 2010
This paper presents a feedback/feedforward nonlinear controller for variable-speed wind turbines with doubly fed induction generators. By appropriately adjusting the rotor voltages and the blade pitch angle, the controller simultaneously enables: (a ...
