1T‐to‐2H Phase Evolution During Epitaxial Growth of Transition Metal Dichalcogenides
During MOCVD growth of MoS2 and WSe2, a transient metallic 1T phase emerges in early, edge‐rich, chalcogen‐deficient domains and declines as the films ultimately coalesce as 2H material. Together, experiments and ReaxFF simulations link domain size, edge stoichiometry, and vacancies to this evolution.

Tractography in the presence of multiple sclerosis lesions
Accurate anatomical localisation of specific white matter tracts and the quantification of their tract-specific microstructural damage in conditions such as multiple sclerosis (MS) can contribute to a better understanding of symptomatology, disease ...

We present Local Spherical Deconvolution (LSD), a diffusion MRI deconvolution method to reconstruct crossing fiber directions in the brain. In contrast to previous approaches which assumed a single deconvolution kernel for the entire brain, LSD utilizes ...

Descriptor‐Informed Screening of Interface‐Active Molecules for Efficient Magnesium Metal Anodes
A descriptor‐informed molecular screening strategy identifies 4‐bromo‐N, N‐dimethylaniline (BrNNA) as an interface‐active electrolyte component that enables fast Mg stripping/plating in Mg(TFSI)2‐based electrolytes. By simultaneously regulating Mg2+ solvation and interphase formation, the BrNNA‐containing electrolyte delivers activation‐free Mg ...

LINEAR DISCRETE CONVOLUTION AND ITS INVERSE. PART 2. DECONVOLUTION [PDF]
We present here several ways for calculating the linear discrete convolution and its inverse - the deconvolution, by direct methods, generator functions, Z-transform, using matrices and MATLAB.

A Critical Call for Mechanistic Investigations of Metal‐Bacteria Interactions
It is well established that the antibacterial properties of metals have tremendous importance for bioengineering applications. What is not as appreciated, however, is the reproducibility crisis in this field's vast literature. In this perspective, we highlight this reproducibility problem, discuss its sources, and suggest solutions towards focused ...

Constrained spherical deconvolution on diffusion-weighted images of dolphin brains
Invasive neuronal tract-tracing is not permitted in very large or endangered animals. This is especially the case in marine mammals like dolphins. Diffusion-weighted imaging of fiber tracts could be an alternative if feasible even in brains that have been fixed in formalin for a long time.

Optimal Spherical Deconvolution
This paper addresses the issue of optimal deconvolution density estimation on the 2-sphere. Indeed, by using the transitive group action of the rotation matrices on the 2-dimensional unit sphere, rotational errors can be introduced analogous to the ...
