Decoupling Li+ Transport in Self‐Healing Polymer Dual‐Salt Electrolytes for Room Temperature Lithium Metal Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A self‐healable polymer matrix, crosslinked via dynamic imine bonds, is synergistically coupled with a LiPF6–LiDFOB dual‐salt system to decouple Li+ from the polymer matrix, enabling fast Li+ transport. This strategy offers an effective pathway toward high‐performance, next‐generation gel‐polymer‐based Li‐metal batteries.

Optimizing image fidelity in a spherical array geometry for pulse-echo ultrasound and volumetric optoacoustic imaging

open access: yesPhotoacoustics
Spherical arrays are commonly used in volumetric optoacoustic tomography for optimal data acquisition. Yet, such a configuration poses challenges for integration with pulse-echo ultrasound used for image guidance, which relies on different signal ...

Parametric spherical deconvolution: Inferring anatomical connectivity using diffusion MR imaging [PDF]

open access: yesNeuroImage, 2007
The human brain forms a complex neural network with a connectional architecture that is still far from being known in full detail, even at the macroscopic level. The advent of diffusion MR imaging has enabled the exploration of the structural properties of white matter in vivo.

Utilizing the Metastability of Spidroins as a Strategy for Improving Mechanical Properties of Biomimetic Spider Silk Fibers

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Phase transitions are central for the assembly of recombinant silk proteins into fibers. Soluble protein can transition into condensed states such as condensates and gels. These states are metastable and evolve in a time‐dependent way. Metastability depends on the protein sequence, and this relationship can be used to enhance the mechanical properties ...

Fast and Robust Deconvolution-Based Image Reconstruction for Photoacoustic Tomography in Circular Geometry: Experimental Validation

open access: yesIEEE Photonics Journal, 2010
Photoacoustic tomography (PAT) is a fast-developing biomedical imaging technology suitable for in vivo imaging. PAT in spherical or circular geometry gives good image resolution yet is slow or expensive in signal acquisition and image formation. Reducing

Oxygen Evolution Electrocatalysts with Trinuclear, Mixed‐Valence Iron Motifs on Electronically Aligned Carbon Dots

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Trinuclear iron oxo‐bridged catalytic ensembles stabilized by aspartic‐acid‐derived carbon dots provide an effective platform for alkaline oxygen evolution. Mixed‐valence charge balancing, inner‐sphere charge transport, and work‐function alignment within the N/O‐rich carbon framework promote cooperative Fe‐site chemistry and efficient OER ...

Spherical Aberration and Scattering Compensation in Microscopy Images through a Blind Deconvolution Method

open access: yesJournal of Imaging
The optical quality of an image depends on both the optical properties of the imaging system and the physical properties of the medium the light passes while travelling from the object to the image plane. The computation of the point spread function (PSF)

Application of second generation wavelets to blind spherical deconvolution

open access: yesJournal of Multivariate Analysis, 2014
We adress the problem of spherical deconvolution in a non parametric statistical framework, where both the signal and the operator kernel are subject to error measurements. After a preliminary treatment of the kernel, we apply a thresholding procedure to the signal in a second generation wavelet basis. Under standard assumptions on the kernel, we study

In Situ Interfacial Assembly of Dynamic Semi‐Interpenetrating Biopolymer Networks for Robust and Mechanically Adaptive Droplet Interfaces

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A dynamic interfacial semi‐interpenetrating polymer network is constructed by sequential assembly of β‐sheet‐rich SF and CS‐RL. The SF framework provides mechanical strength, while dynamically associated CS‐RL enables local rearrangement, allowing droplets to rapidly reconfigure without loss of interfacial integrity.
