Cross-over between different symmetries

open access: yes, 2013
The yrast states of even even vibrational and transitional nuclei are interpreted as a rotating condensate of interacting d-bosons. The corresponding semi-classical tidal wave concept is used for microscopic calculations of energies and E2 transition ...

Endocytic Control of Cell‐Autonomous and Non‐Cell‐Autonomous Functions of p53

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
NUMB Ex3‐containing isoforms localize to the plasma membrane, where they recruit p53 through SNX9 and direct it to multivesicular bodies and exosomes. Exported p53 is taken up by neighboring cells and activates nuclear programs, revealing an intercellular, exosome‐based pathway that might help establish a tumor‐suppressive microenvironment.

Cuproptosis and Mitophagy Mediated by the THUMPD1/IGF2R‐Dependent Suppression of AKT and Activation of AMPK Signaling Suppress Lung Adenocarcinoma Progression

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
THUMPD1 drives a tumor‐suppressive signaling cascade in lung adenocarcinoma by promoting IGF2R expression. IGF2R associates with PPP2R1A to suppress AKT and activate AMPK, leading to SLC31A1 upregulation and copper accumulation. Elevated copper disrupts mitochondrial metabolism and induces excessive mitophagy, thereby restraining tumor growth and ...

Albumin‐Bound STING Agonist Reprograms HSPCs to Antitumor Neutrophils Enhancing CD8+ T Cell Immunity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates that an albumin‐bound STING agonist (Nano ZSA‐51D) reprograms HSPCs to produce antitumor neutrophils with enhanced MHC I–mediated CD8+ T cell activation, thereby sensitizing tumors to α‐PD1 therapy. These findings highlight a strategy to target early hematopoiesis for shaping neutrophil fate and potentiating cancer immunotherapy.

Enhanced Energy Transfer from a Metal–Organic Framework to a Highly Confined Organic Phosphorescent Dye

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A phosphorescent dye was designed to fit in a hand‐to‐glove fashion into the 1D‐pore channels of MIL‐68(In). We synthesized MIL‐68(In) as powder and thin films, loaded the dye into the pores with controlled packing, and found that the phosphorescence and quantum yield are enhanced.

Cryogenic gyroscope housing [PDF]

open access: yes, 1973
A cryogenic gyroscope housing having gas spin-up means provided in annular discs inserted between housing shells is described. A circumferential recess in the inner edges of the discs at their juncture serves as the gas spin-up channel, and recesses in ...

Diagrammatic approach to orbital quantum impurities interacting with a many-particle environment

open access: yes, 2017
Recently it was shown that an impurity exchanging orbital angular momentum with a surrounding bath can be described in terms of the angulon quasiparticle [Phys. Rev. Lett. 118, 095301 (2017)].

Programmable RNA N6,2´‐O‐Dimethyladenosine Editing

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT N6,2’‐O‐dimethyladenosine (m6Am) is a prevalent RNA modification located at the first transcribed nucleotide adjacent to the 5′ cap of mRNAs, where it has been implicated in gene regulation. However, the lack of methods for precise, transcript‐specific manipulation of m6Am has limited its functional dissection.

Three-Dimension Calculation for the Scattering Problem for Non-Spherical Potential

open access: yesPhysics
The interaction of the 238U with a neutron is studied. Correct accounting for the non-spherical shape of the uranium nucleus is in focus. The optical potential is used as a model.
