Sensitive and Spatially‐Resolved Electrochemiluminescence via Micropatterning

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
The use of a simple silica nanoparticle surface coating and patterning process can transform ordinary gold electrodes into multiplexed ECL sensing electrodes. Through spatially confined droplet formation and local ECL emission, it is possible to perform multiple analyses simultaneously from individual locations as well as intensify the ECL signal by as

Femtosecond‐Laser Mould Texturing Enables Tunable Biointerfaces in COC Microfluidics

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Femtosecond‐laser texturing of injection‐mould inserts enables scalable engineering of biointerfaces in cyclic olefin copolymer microfluidics. Replicated micro‐ and nano‐topographies modulate surface roughness and wettability, leading to texture‐dependent protein adsorption and cell adhesion without chemical post‐processing.

Transducers Across Scales and Frequencies: A System‐Level Framework for Multiphysics Integration and Co‐Design

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Transducers convert physical signals into electrical and optical representations, yet each mechanism is bounded by intrinsic trade‐offs across bandwidth, sensitivity, speed, and energy. This review maps transduction mechanisms across physical scale and frequency, showing how heterogeneous integration and multiphysics co‐design transform isolated ...

3D Printing of Stretchable, Compressible and Conductive Porous Polyurethane for Soft Robotics

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
A 3D‐printable porous dopamine‐polyurethane acrylate elastomer results in conductive, stretchable, and compressible structures that can be metallized in situ through catechol‐mediated silver reduction. The resulting material function as both compliant soft robot with a and strain sensors without complex assemblies, enabling fully 3D‐printed soft ...

The disappearing COVID-Naïve Population and comparative Roche vs. Abbott Test sensitivity: evidence from antibody seroprevalence in Milwaukee County, Wisconsin

open access: yesScientific Reports
We study the prevalence of SARS-CoV-2 antibodies in a diverse population in Milwaukee County, Wisconsin from May 2021 to June 2022. We find that 99.4% (523/526) of the participants had positive results for antibodies to the SARS CoV2 spike protein over ...

Production and cryo-electron microscopy structure of an internally tagged SARS-CoV-2 spike ecto-domain construct

open access: yesJournal of Structural Biology: X
The SARS-CoV-2 spike protein is synthesized in the endoplasmic reticulum of host cells, from where it undergoes export to the Golgi and the plasma membrane or retrieval from the Golgi to the endoplasmic reticulum.
