Lactate‐Driven Restriction of Mitochondrial Permeability Transition Promotes Resistance to Chemo‐Immunotherapy by Suppressing Tumor PANoptosis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Tumor‐derived lactate establishes a metabolic lock that drives chemo‐immunotherapy resistance by suppressing PANoptosis. Mechanistically, KAT8 lactylates the mitochondrial translocator ANT2, which recruits PGAM5 to dephosphorylate CypD. This cascade restricts mitochondrial permeability transition pore opening, preventing pro‐inflammatory mtDNA leakage.

The effects of parenteral or dietary omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids in rat models of spinal cord injury

open access: yes, 2010
PhDThere is currently no effective treatment for spinal cord injury (SCI). Long chain omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFA) such as docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) and eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) have beneficial effects in various neurological disorders.

SerpinA3N-APOE interaction in astrocytes exacerbates Alzheimer’s disease progression through NFκB activation

open access: yesJournal of Neuroinflammation
Alzheimer's disease (AD) is one of the most prevalent neurodegenerative disorders characterized by β-amyloid (Aβ) deposition, neurofibrillary tangles, neuronal loss, and neuroinflammation. It represents a growing global health crisis. Although astrocytes

Longitudinal Single‐Axon‐Resolution Imaging of Peripheral Nerve Injury Response in Mice Using an Optical Window Implant

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A minimally invasive optical window enables stable, long‐term imaging of peripheral nerves in vivo at single‐axon resolution. Dynamic processes of degeneration, regeneration, and cellular remodeling are visualized across multiple time scales within the same nerve region, providing a unique platform to study a variety of anatomical and molecular events ...

Studies on the mechanosensory innervation of muscle using organotypic culture, reinnervation and immunohistochemistry [PDF]

open access: yes, 1996
This thesis studies sensory innervation in mammals using an organotypic co-culture of spinal cord-dorsal root ganglion and skeletal muscle of embryonic rat, the histological changes of reinnervated muscle spindles after nerve section and the localisation

The MDM4/MDM2-p53-IGF1 axis controls axonal regeneration, sprouting and functional recovery after CNS injury

open access: yes, 2015
Regeneration of injured central nervous system axons is highly restricted, causing neurological impairment. To date, although the lack of intrinsic regenerative potential is well described, a key regulatory molecular mechanism for the enhancement of both

Gene profiling of identified neurons to dissect molecular mechanisms involved in spinal reflex assembly [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
The central question during my PhD studies was to understand the molecular mechanisms and genetic cascades controlling the sequential specification of distinct classes of dorsal root ganglia (DRG) sensory neurons, with a particular focus on genes ...

Research progress on biomarkers of traumatic brain injury

open access: yesAnimal Models and Experimental Medicine, EarlyView.
Traumatic brain injury: From primary insult to secondary neuroinflammation and degeneration. Abstract Traumatic brain injury (TBI) is a common disorder of the nervous system and has become a leading cause of death and disability worldwide, imposing a substantial burden on patients and their social circles. Its main symptoms include dyskinesia, language
