Programmable 2D Magnetic Clusterphenes With High Curie Temperature and Strong Magnetic Anisotropy via Cluster Assembly and Ligand Synergy

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Programmable 2D magnetic clusterphenes are realized through a ligand‐mediated cluster‐assembly strategy. Direct linking of magnetic superatomic clusters enhances electron delocalization and symmetry breaking, enabling the concurrent strengthening of magnetic exchange interactions and spin–orbit coupling.

Thermally Robust Spin–Orbit Torque Switching in Low‐Resistivity Mo‐Alloyed β‐W Heterostructures

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Mo‐alloyed β‐W heterostructures exhibit enhanced spin‐orbit torque efficiency, reduced resistivity and switching current density, and reliable operation from −50 to +150°C. The optimized W87.3Mo12.7 device achieves high spin Hall conductivity with thermal robustness, highlighting its potential for energy‐efficient magnetic memory and automotive ...

Interface-to-Surface Transition Induced Topological Hall Effect in 2-Dimensional SrRuO3 Integrated on Silicon

open access: yesResearch
The topological Hall effect (THE), a transport signature emerging from chiral spin textures induced by structural symmetry breaking and the Dzyaloshinskii–Moriya interaction (DMI), represents a rich frontier in condensed matter physics with promising ...

Spin Dynamics in the van der Waals Ferromagnet CrTe2 Engineered by Niobium Doping

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Spin‐dynamic magnetic properties of van der Waals (vdW) ferromagnet 1T‐CrTe2 are tuned via niobium (Nb) as Cr1‐xNbxTe2 (x = 0–0.2). Nb doping enables wide‐band tuning of the resonance frequency from 40 GHz down to the few‐GHz regime, accompanied by a moderate increase in the Gilbert damping from ∼0.066 to ∼0.14.

Strain Engineering of Magnetoresistance and Magnetic Anisotropy in CrSBr

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Biaxial compressive strain significantly enhances magnetoresistance and critical saturation fields in thin flakes of the 2D magnet CrSBr, along all three crystallographic axes. First‐principles calculations link these effects to strain‐induced increases in exchange interactions and magnetic anisotropy.

The effect of thermal photons on exceptional points in coupled resonators

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2023
We analyse two quantum systems with hidden parity-time ( $${\mathscr {P}\mathscr {T}}$$ P T ) symmetry: one is an optical device, whereas another is a superconducting microwave-frequency device. To investigate their symmetry, we introduce a damping frame

Spintronics?

open access: yes, 2004
This is a brief review of spin physics in semiconductors, as well as of the historic roots of the recent very active research of spin-related phenomena. The perspectives of "spintronics" are also discussed.
